Summer spending spree but we haven’t spent that much in the grand scheme of things have we?

No mate. It's just rs reporters trying to make out like we ruined the transfer window again because we spent a bit of money.

They haven't said anything that any of us would be really surprised with either apart from maybe Kean, but in the grand scheme of things he's scored 2 goals and maybe he isn't settled.

I think Brands probably realises last summers recruitment hasn't turned out too well so would be delighted to recoup as much as he can for Iwobi, Delph & Kean and hand that money over to Ancelotti who seems to actually have a plan of action in trying to get a good balance and blend.

Allan and Doucoure £22m each, James £12m = £56m spent. Pennies these days but all three would be on hefty wages I guess.

With fees being paid in instalments I reckon our outlay this summer for them 3 was around £15m.
Add in the Schneiderlin and Dowell fees we are not doing too bad.

I think the point is we need to sell some players. We all know it has to happen.

According to the journos Utd refused a buy back clause for Reguilon but Spurs are happy with that.

We can’t rest on our laurels here, yes we’ve done well to get who we have got in but we’ve got lots of work to be done.

Plenty of outgoings and we need 2-3 incoming still to really compete over a course of a season.

Bale and Regullion signing for them pushes them up to another level.
