Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I know people think we're rich but after the last AGM it's clear we still need to be smart. Lots of discussions on this thread and the wider news outlets of transfers happening but personally, if or when there is a window, it'll be one of the weirdest we've seen in years.

We had to be smart when FFP was relevant but if that gets lifted or in anyway put on hold then we will find out exactly where we're at.

That will give us a real indication of who exactly is funding this club and to what extent.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could go berserk with our spending IMO.

It's like then The Esk and the posters go on about the current situation changing our chances significantly of us producing Bramley Moore. It definitely does, if we're being run like a normal business but we're clearly not and to what extent we're not, no one really knows as FFP has stopped us flexing our muscles in the transfer market. In every other area money really seems to be no object and we could benefit greatly form the changes the current situation is going to make to football moving forward.

....the answer to your 2nd question is ‘Somebody better’ and it’s why Brands is paid so much money. It’s a big world out there and Brands should have a view of the global market. I’d definitely be tempted if there is an offer for Pickford but I’d be surprised if there is.

I would want more than that for the England goalkeeper full stop. And I hope you would to Eggs.

I'm not even talking FFP I'm just talking about the wider economical landscape post-COVID.

So you think we're going to have a lavish Summer window then?
We will spend definitely, how much its to early to say, as we don’t know what’s going to happen at the moment. Will ffp get relaxed?

You said we won’t be one of the 3 that will, so implying we won’t spend anything. So do you think these strong rumours about Gabriel, are just a load of nonsense at the moment?

"Only 3 clubs will be spending any proper money" so by that I took it a significant amount.

I don't see any club in the world spending a lot this Summer including us. The window will go back to pre-Neymar times.
