Its not like he's sitting on the bench, he's not surplus and it means we can sell him.

I get that everybody hates him now, hell I do myself, but protecting investments like him isn't a bad idea.

Why wasn’t the investment protected? He was tied down for a further 4 years already?

That's insane that is, Well it can't be helped when England went on that easy run in the world cup and he was getting loads of attention, I guess Brands and others fell into the trap.

It's gonna be hard to sell him because of the contract and the fact he's turned into making crap mistakes, Maybe some desperate PL team might take the risk like a Burnley or a newly promoted one but it's gonna be a tough sale.
