33 points and an important cup game against Man Utd for a semi final slot before the window opens - my view is that the club is taking a huge risk.

No doubt its a risk mate. On the other hand they may think its pointless having anyone in who isn't going to get minutes.

Keans basicslly being 3rd choice striker for a whole year and only had about 6 minutes game time

I think the bigger risk, like we've seen in previous windows, is to blow our load buying rubbish. If the right players aren't available we shouldn't be lumbering ourselves. Buying average, or just above average players also prevents our younger players from getting opportunities. Where would Holgate be if we panicked and brought in a centre half last season?

I suspect that Gordon is tipped to fill the void that Kean has left. If one of our strikers gets injured he comes in on the left.

We are past masters at that
As I have said numerous times ,if we buy King then this time next year lads will be crying that he is deadwood leeching wages off us

....I think Gordon has also been mentioned by those within the club as a striker option, although I’m not sure of his back to goal skill set against CBs.

Aye I think he'd be the type of player to be on the shoulder of the last man to make runs in behind rather than a hold the ball up and bring others into play type of forward.

And we also have sparse cover in the centre.

So if there's a chance to get a player that can cover all the positions...

I like Sarr, I just don't think we have £30-35m to put down on him right now.
Loan with option?

Young talented and League proven. What's the risk. I think he's going all the way

I know Delph can cover there and Nkounkou is showing great promise but I would not mind a 30-32 yr old LB in as cover next summer
Not sure Nkounkou is quite ready for PL yet
Nah

The kid did well against the Hammers marking a very good player. He'll do for me and we don't want to stunt his development either
