Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Know what would be lovely? Starting off strong.

I'm sick of it every single season, we tend to get some winnable games (on paper) to which we barely turn up and usually draw, then we get the same old cycle where our fans say "its only early, loads of time left" etc and that time never comes.

I want us to be prepared for a change. Get 9 points on the board straight away.
Yep, agreed. Same with signings though too, we’re not going to start strong if all the players have only been here a week. I’m not saying it’s easy but we’ve really got to try and get people in and having a bit of time to settle and get fit before we’re into competitive action.

Guessing Chelsea lashing cash left right and center, as well as psg signing icardi means prices aren't going to plummet as expected

We need to stop arsing about in pre-season, playing games against Austrian 7th Division teams and stupid tournaments where we play 60 minute matches. Also coasting through the games in second gear barely breaking a sweat, and swapping the entire XI around at half time with a week to go before the season starts.
Our pre season is ending this season

Obviously us part-time peasents with real life stuff going on can miss things from time to time.
Skimming this thread; did someone actually suggest Scott "Duhhh" Brown?

I'm not that bothered about paying £30m for Allan. We need someone who can perform at the highest level we can get straight away and £30m is hardly breaking the bank these days. Man City got Fernandinho at 28 for £34m and that was 7 years ago. Allan could have a similar impact for us.
Man City were also a year removed from a championship 7 years ago. You may have heard we aren't that.
