You watch Werner a lot more than me. How do you think he'll go in the PL?

I've seen him live a couple of times recently for Germany and not impressed at all tbh.

I'll probably end up eating my words but I think he'll struggle quite a lot. He's one of those "look at the goals scored column, ignore the rest" kinda players. Very fast, very fit, good presser and a pretty good finisher but he misses a lot of easy chances, his actual technical ability is really bang average for me. Against high lines he'll do great playing off the left but teams like Burnley etc. may as well stick him on the bench. Honestly think even at his age Vardy is a better version of him.

But he's 24 so all the time in the world to improve.

Yes thats fair enough.

Id personally take him at around that figure, on a free. I think hes very creative and makes lots of chances, and better than Bernard. But I suppose its all about opinions.

I always find that when you watch other teams players you tend to only see the positives. You tend not to scrutinise the negatives as much as with your own players.

I'm disappointed we haven't made better use of his partnership with Digne as I think he and Bernie dovetail so well together

Chelsea signed Werner for £47.5m and are set to receive £48.5m for Morata.

They also got nearly £100m for Hazard and some of that went on Ziyech.

Please don't use those deals as a stick to beat Brands with as it makes you look silly.

they’ve also had a summer window not being able to spend anything and have two of their highest paid players leaving in the summer. They are uniquely placed to take advantage of this window, most clubs including ourselves are not.

I’ve not seen loads of him, but was looking forward to seeing him for Germany at the last World Cup. And he was very disappointing
