meh if you offered me Rodriguez/Doucoure/Allan/Godfrey before the window I would have snapped your hand off, Letting Kean and Walcott leave without bringing another attack in is certainly questionable but I'm happy with this.

10 minutes ago ssn went for a break and just before Jim White said stay tuned as Everton have signed Ben Godfrey today and it looks like they are about to sign another...... Not heard us even mentioned since. He's a complete bell isn't he.

Us signing Olsen is literally picking a random player from Europe and signing them to look like we have done something before the deadline.

Reckon it was names in a hat and we went with that one?

Hope we go for the Norwegian keeper in January and complete the collection.

Like I said to @Connor last night, I didn't want this all window. All window I've been saying i don't want Moise Kean - one of Europe's brightest prospects this time last year and someone we grafted hard to get here - to leave, and us to bring in a 28-year-old King who, for the record, I think is half-decent.

But we are where we are and I think it's naive in the extreme to go into the rest of the season with just two options for up front but also the drop off in quality being so great if we get 2-3 injuries (and we already have seven of those).

Then again, January is actually 8 weeks away which I have kind of forgotten to think about.

It's just frustrating in a way as I think one more real top quality player and we've got a squad that can really do something this year.

Carlo was already praising the work done by Brands et al even before we got in a beast of a centre back who he's supposedly a fan of.

If he's happy then I'm happy. Those of you who'd prefer to be downbeat about stuff can choose to be but I dont really see the point in it
