Everton transfers that didn't happen

Some lesser know ones:

Stan Collymore
David Hirst
Carlton Palmer
Paolo Dybala
Ramadal Falcao
Michael Essien
Zaha (£70m, liquidate the club JFC)
I remember talking to Stan in the pub while he was at Forest, trying to persuade him to come to Everton. I must have done a great job as he joined the gobshabites about 2 months later.

Nice one.
Didn’t he come talk to us then go to the pit and a bit more back and forth between us?
Yes - i went to see his debut v Blackburn and sat on the K*p with my uncle (long story) and it was about 3 billion degrees.

We were in for Walker in 09 and Moyes thought he got him, interesting to think what we would have done with Coleman if that had happened.

I thought Seamus was better than him for a few years though, but he went up a level when he went to City.

Was Kyle Naughton we went for but spurs done a 9m double deal and signed both

Ravanelli and Muller instantly spring to mind

Listened to a podcast he did a few years ago and he said the summer he was leaving Boro it was Spurs and RS who contacted him, nothing from this club and he went to Marseille.

Lots of hot air that summer considering who eventually did sign, wasn't Paul Ince also linked?

In recent times Kudus seemed very close and he'd have been a good fit for what was lacking at the time upfront.

I'd also have liked Brian McBride on a permanent. Looked really good in his loan combining with Rooney and Radz and Super Kev was coming towards the end of his career so another targetman was needed.

Went back to MLS then Fulham signed him for 1.5m the next season and he was a very consistent scorer for them for 4-5 seasons.
