Everton transfers that seemed *done*

I remember hearing a deal to do a straight swap with James for Luis Diaz was reportedly close. A straight swap, that’s what Everton where proposing, within 3 months James had left For free and Diaz had signed for the cult for 50 mil, so if reports are to be believed, good old “ what would Everton do” bill was trying to sign a 50 million asset for free!

Kenwright leaked it to the press about Robson, and Robson knew wouldn't be able to trust him.

All the signs where there.
That was just after Kendall's 2nd spell with us right? I can remember we were gash then, and was in school one day and a mate passed me a note in class saying we'd got Bobby Robson as our new manager. I was buzzing. Ended up with Mike Walker

Vagner Love.
Just reading this article about it https://www.theguardian.com/football/2008/aug/11/everton.manchestercity

''Though central midfielders are still the overriding priority for Everton's manager, David Moyes, who had no option but to start 17-year-old Jack Rodwell in Saturday's 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven, he has been left short in attack following last week's sale of Andy Johnson to Fulham, Victor Anichebe's Olympic commitments and with James Vaughan facing a possible three-match suspension for a pre-season dismissal in the United States.''

Wtf did he do for a friendly sending off to be carried in to the league?

Gone are the days of Theatre Money (tm) and autocorrect, when we would wait all summer for the gazzuping of our top transfer targets on transfer deadline day, having sold off the family silver.

We had John joKe any return instead of Denzel Dumfries which typifies the lack of joined up thinking over the premier league era.

If we had done what the Germans national team did after being heavily beaten in the World Cup in Brazil and rebuild from scratch,
playing young players full of confidence and ambition on the back of a World Cup triumph Kenney, Dowell, Lookman, DCL (& Davies)
and given them a good chance of developing at the right time, would it have been any worse?

To return to JJ Kenney without properly developing him ourselves so late shows how mismanaged this clubs recruitment has been and the same mistakes made over and over again.

Everyone's GOT to learn sometime, let's hope the new owners have got their heads screwed on !

Pretty sure it was a high reckless challenge, Moyes slated him after the game. Was always very enthusiastic Vaughan.

Dunfries was linked the last euros or World Cup before.
Would have been better then any other right back we’ve had
