If we could take the lead it might knock the stuffing out of Villa for the chances they've had.

Go behind again and we'll get nothing here.

With Rodriguez missing, we have nobody other than Allan trying to create... and Allan pushing forward is leaving huge holes for Villa to exploit.

Spot on.

Shouldn't be allowed to push forward.

Stay back, gives us shape and a platform.

As is it's wave after wave with a ridiculous amount of space there.

Need Richardson in the game this half. Need Gomes and Allan sitting in front of the back 4 and shore up the link play from Barkley.

I can take losing to teams that’s fine, but it’s almost been an annihilation it’s embarrassing. The level of effort put in is pathetic.
You could almost say that some of the players look like they don't care for the extra games that playing in Europe would bring next season, so are doing their best not to put themselves in that position.

Exactly so play the one who gives you something with the ball!

Well as we saw v Burnley - and should be seeing today - it's not worth the risk.

Davies and Allan should be starting every game together in there atm and we build from there (even if that is Iwobi at 10).

One thing with Iwobi is he can cover ground. So I don't think this idea that he's been unfairly treated out on the right is correct. He can run into the space - as he has been doing. It's not like Gylfi who, if he plays left, just doesn't have the pace to get about.

If we keep the same shape, I'd keep Iwobi on. But personally feel we're better switching and I don't think Iwobi fits that system.

Proper mad that Allan just escapes any criticism. Think he’s been dreadful again.

....I think it’s because his job is all about scrapping behind the ball so nobody is expecting him to influence the game in possession. For me, Allen is all about who plays alongside him and the balance is clearly not right.

This isn’t a game we’re deserving to win but let’s just win it.

Our midfield shape is horrific. And so so slow.

Gomes takes 4 touches when one would do.

Allan is doing his best against an onslaught of claret and blue shirts. Siggurdson is supposed to on the left, but is leaving Digne so exposed and two on one.
Iwobi actually the only player we have capable of beating a man.

At the back, Holgate having a total mare. Godfrey struggling, Digne good going forward, but often with 2 or 3 to mark.

Without Pickford it would be 5 or 6.
