We do it once or twice a half and that’s it.

The full backs don’t help the wingers either. Kenny was just smashing it down the line to Townsend who couldn’t do anything with it because his back is to goal and he’s being marked tight. That’s why you need the extra man in midfield to get out of those situations.

You're forgetting Fat Sam's record in 2017/2018 when we ranked 19th both in shots and shots on target. I can remember games in that season when we had no shots at all. And of course Villa's keeper did have to save Godfrey's headed attempt today.

We did that thing where we switch off in midfield and let them walz through. It's like it's easier to stand in the way and block the opposition, but somehow our players side step the out of the way and it all opens up. Seen this so many times.
