I think he's been given enough chances mate and I'd love to see him come good but it just isn't going to happen for us.

I wonder about Gueye like, he must be crap to not been given any run in this team considering we have a massive glaring hole on the left like.

I've never rated Ossie until recently but, playing week in week out, he's been our player of the month. I'm sure that Bily is capable of the same.

Howard, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Heitinga, Coleman, Arteta, Bilyaletdinov. 8 by my count.

Hibbert, Osman, Rodwell, Anichebe, Saha and Beckford free of charge.

I don't think it's particularly unusual.

(Re: how many did we pay for)

Not as many as I thought. Hadn't bothered working it out, to be honest. Cheers.

For Fulham, I'd have;

Mucha

Bidwell - Duffy - Mustafi - Garbutt

Baxter - Barkley - Wallace - Gueye

Beckford - Silva (or Agard)

"Prove you should be playing and deserve to be here next year...."

Yet again i have to question Moyes' decisions with regard to substitutions.

Anichebe ? He's a donkey, can't do anything.
Bringing on Bily with 5 minutes left ? I'll say the same as i did about Reading, if he wants an impact player, give them enough time to make an impact !

The second half was much improved over the first, and luck was missing for us at times, but that cannot be an excuse. One thing the players seem to have a forte in is conceding soft goals early on, which make it even harder for us to get 3 points against teams like Birmingham who's objective is simply not to lose.

I don't think Billy has ever been given a fair chance. He at least deserves a run of games. Or maybe we might actually see Guye.

I will be VERY surprised if Bily steps up like Osman has stepped up. Billy has been given a run out and has repeatedly failed to seize the moment, IMO. Unlike Ossie, I just don't think Bily has the speed of thought or foot for the EPL. And he's never demonstrated the tenaciousness that Ossie does. Bily does have a wonderful strike, but that's about it, and he rarely has the opportunity to use it.

But I hope I have to eat my words...we need him to step up.

Any of you cats remember what I said about two or three weeks ago regarding Distin?

Think hard.

I said...he makes one mistake a game where he's out of position and they attack his space. Usually nothing comes of it and he/we recover.

Go see where Distin is when they score.

I rest my case.

Oh, and a 1-1 draw was in the cards from the off.

You don't need to do a 'told you so' post to make a point mate.

I wasn't so much an "I told you so" as I don't recall too many people disagreeing with me. It was more of a "remember the point was made awhile back" post.

I think Distin has been a rock for us but he switches off positionally once a match like this, usually pressing up high. Tonight, we paid for it. But I'm not blaming him for the draw or anything like that. We had opportunities in the 2nd half to score. We just didn't.

Pretty average peformance in my opinion...it was all up hill once Arteta hobbled off. I spose at this time of the season I'd take a point over none at all...

Moyes and his choice of subs are killing me! Let's bring on Victor...he is a real game changer...makes me wonder if Moyes is actually watching the same team that I. And to add to that, Bily on with a 1 minute to go...our creative midfielder is off the pitch, no Cahill, no Fellas and no Nev and still our 9 million signing gets 1 lousy minute...

Can someone confirm for me that Victor was booed whilst entering the pitch? Or was I hearing myself think?

There were certainly a few boos in the Upper Gladwys where i was sat, although most of the people in the vicinity (including me) had our heads in our hands when we saw him sauntering on to the pitch. I wouldn't mind if he actually gave his all when he did play, but he spends most of his time complaining about decisions rather than actually playing the game. Oh, and the fact that he's 6'3'' and can't win a header to save his life.

And yes, Moyes decides it's a great idea to bring a sub on with 5 minutes left, just like he did with Baxter against Reading.

To be fair mate moyes has not got a great choice of subs ,we do need bily to step up but it aint going to happen he has no heart or desire .Thanks to the fat mincer getting rid of players in january we are still in with a chance of going down and if arteta is out there are not going to be many wins on the horizon.

Oh, criminy.

I groaned when I saw the injury to Arteta. A hole on the left just became even worse. My guess is that Coleman and Osman will be back together again. Seamus got some time off for his weary legs, but Arteta's injury will bring him back as a starter on the right, and my guess is we'll see Leon back on the left.

What positions we need to fill in the summer are so damn apparent. These injuries are painful.

Let the moaning comence! Am off . Laters . 7 points from 9 not bad going . Yep poor display big blow losing Arteta, No Felliani,No Cahill......... Lets hope to see at least two of them back soon . Nighty night blues.

Arteta hasn't turned up all season apart from the Newcastle game. You need to look elsewhere for an explanation for that draw last night. The fact of the matter is this squad was never good enough. It was all smoke and mirrors. Fellaini has carried us through the season and he wont be seen again, imo.
