The short corners were infuriating. Why do that when you have a free chance to whip the ball in? I suppose the fact that no one seemed able to beat the first man might have had some influence!

They were very rigid in their defensive positions meaning we could move the ball onto the man at the 18 yard box corner very easily. The end ball from there was [Poor language removed], yes, but they were giving us opportunities to put in a ball from a) closer in, and b) at an angle they wouldn't have trained to defend from. So I don't see anything wrong with the idea, just the execution was [Poor language removed], same as it was when we attempted to put them in the box directly which we did do also (badly)

I often find that people who call me a snowflake on social media (because I'm against slavery or rape or something) will also be absolutely losing their mind further down their timeline about two men dancing together on TV.

May as well write this season off for DCL. He won't be back firing fully until he's had a preseason under him. Hopefully the carrot of the world Cup will make him work hard
