If Delph has the fitness levels to play 2 games this week he has to start for me in Allans position. Leave Doucoure where he is. Gomes back in. Not even sure who I’d play to replace Richy, nobody can really :(
I’d love to see Gordon, but I suspect it’ll be Iwobi if Richarlison doesn’t make it.

I have a sneaky suspicion he will make it, though. He’s made of tough stuff, and tends to make injuries seem more dramatic than they are.

I think Allan is the bigger concern. We look so much more in control with him playing. Delph would also be the man to step in for me, but I agree it’s potentially a big ask to play a second 90 minutes 3 days later.

I see six wins is the best start since 1938/39 and two more wins will match a record going back to 1893/94. If we beat Liverpool it'll be history books out to find when we've ever had a better start.

Carlo saying Richarlison he doesn't think too bad twisted an ankle and could be fit for Brighton, but ominously said Allan looks more difficult. Allan's injury could be a monumental blow if he's out for a lengthy period.

Groin strain, which is what it looks like, can be a really bad one and possibly lengthy layoff - even when you recover you're always careful, come back too soon and it could be season ending.

We went strong and got to the quarters but this injury on its own puts question marks on whether we had to go so strong against a pretty much second string West Ham.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Digne
Doucoure
Sigurdsson Gomes
James Calvert-Lewin Richarlison
Hope Richarlison is fit, otherwise its going to be Iwobi (I would have Bernard personally).
Shows the drop in quality we have in some areas.

If Allan and Richy are fit they both have to start. Don't start getting all cocky thinking we can leave our best players out it never ends well.

Get them played, get it won, go into the international break on a high come back with no injuries and batter fake teeth FC

Depends mate, usually with injuries like that (if it’s nothing major) he could end up with bruising and swelling days after. Personally I wouldn’t risk playing him at all if he’s not 100% on it. Would rather go without on Saturday and have a 100% Richarlison ready for the derby after international break.

Allan is a massive loss as well but thankfully we have players who can fill that void, albeit with half the quality, as long as they stay resolute, keep the shape and stick to the game plan we should be okay there against Brighton. It’s the games after that which concern me with his loss. I really hope it’s only a short term absence!

Allan has absolutely no chance if it's a groin strain which tbf is very much what it looked like.

If we get lucky and he didn’t tear it then it’s a strain and that’s still 4-6 weeks out. A tear is 3 months! Why did he play on when you could clearly see he was in trouble?

Could be a back5 for this based on injuries last night and Brighton’s strength being down the right, so playing both Digne and Niels could be an answer alongside Kean, Mina and Coleman

Gordon for me but it will be Iwobi. Richy is unplayable at the moment. Getting better every game which is frightening (in a good way :))
