Last time Davies started a PL game was the derby and he was excellent. On paper, Doucoure is better, but last few times Doucoure has played he has been abysmal.

Those are the options we have, ultimately.

Dare I say Sigurdsson was the only midfield player we have had in years who could guarantee you 5 goals minimum a season.

I mean he got over 5 open play goals one season in his Everton career. And that was essentially playing up front not in midfield.

He was alright. We just overpaid £10m. At least he scored and assists quite a lot back then.

same if he'd shown anything in his appearances as of late to warrant it but he's been really bad. That Leicester 35 minutes was as bad as anything served up by any Everton player this season.
