Tough game, but not one to be feared. All 3 results very possible, hope we stay disciplined, accept them having the ball to a certain point and hit them when they're out of position.

…..I imagine they’ll have much more possession but I think Burnley did at times last night.

They have proper quality, it’ll be some achievement to shut them out.

De Zerbi has been rotating the team like crazy this season.

This is the first free midweek they've had since August so you'd think it will be similar to what they played v Fulham just to get more continuity.

Mitoma and Evan Ferguson are certs to start and they caused some damage at Goodison, think Ansu Fati will start aswell.

Entertaining 2-2.

Young is an early yellow all day of he starts against Mitoma. Usually takes Patterson 15/20 ins to get up to speed against someone decent . Who knows what manager does. Rest of team picks itself which is great

Paterson did well v Mitoma in the 5-1. Basically shut him out after the dodgy first 15 minutes when he got skinned as you say.

Big call to bring Young back, I think it's unchanged from West Ham.

I'm once again caught in the trap of looking forward to our next match.

They start their moves from the goalie. If we get sucked into pressing too high they've got the ability to play through us and slaughter us.

They do take risks but their movement is so well coordinated, they always seem to have a couple of options for a simple pass. So our pressing has got to be equally well coordinated.
Frustrate them and they'll take bigger risks. Then hopefully we can pick them off.

Our confidence should be high enough for us to have enough composure and take advantage and they have had a bit of an iffy start.

Should be a good duel between Branthwaite and Ferguson.

Get into them blues

Getting the balance between keeping our discipline and causing them problems will be tricky. We did to absurd perfection in the 5-1 albeit they were especially poor that game. Likely to be a scrappy affair, us surrendering a lot of the ball and territory, just hope we remember we've got plenty if ability to cause them problems.

I can't get my head round Everton being in good form. Being crap and expecting to get beat is my default setting.

I think Everton would need at least 15 games unbeaten before I start to get even slightly positive about results.

It'll take a lot more than the recent wins to think we've fully turned the corner, but it's nice we can talk in terms of going into games and not automatically assuming the worst. That's unfortunately how low the bar has been the last couple of years.

If we defend solidly we have a good chance. But it will be our toughest test at home so far this campaign. A win would be fantastic for confidence going into next week at Palace.
