I can't see Silva going for Zouma & Mina personally. It'll just seem like tinkering for tinkering's sake and he'll look silly if we conceded after keeping Chelsea out with Keane.

We got a clean sheet against Chelsea so why would we need to see how Zouma & Mina do? Doesn’t really make sense.

Of course it makes sense

At some point we're going to need to know if Zouma and Mina can work as a partnership, because you never know what will happen with injuries/suspensions etc

This is a low risk fixture to try that partnership out, which will give Silva a better idea of his options

It's not desperately important or anything like that, but to say it doesn't make sense is to be deliberately obtuse

A fair point

I was only saying I'd be intrigued to see them together and thus wouldn't mind if he did it

It's not something I feel overly strong about as I like Keane and think he's done well

I think we'll struggle if Sigurdsson doesn't play. If nothing else he's the best striker of a ball on the books and if we're not getting anywhere with the passing game then it might take an effort from outside the box to get us the points.

Keane has got to play as it will send out the wrong message if he is dropped without doing anything wrong. I do think Zouma is probably the best option because of his pace if your asking who should be ultimate partnership but my personal preference is to keep players in who are doing well. People might ask why I suggested rotating up front on that principal. I believe in attack it should be more horses for courses as it's not about partnerships as much.

I see this thread is getting quite a bit of grief over on a Cardiff fansite.

What do these complete beauts think we should be saying? We're garbage they're great and they are going to do us?

Man for man we are miles better than this shower so if we play at our best, or even just 50% at our best, we'll beat them.

Remember, not so long the 'bluebirds' were playing in red. Can't imagine our fanbase ever allowing that to happen here.
TBF, I don't think their fans could anything about it. I bet they had a lot to do with going back to blue. Er, Everton should win.

I dont think they are a team of animals the way they are made out to be,yes they are a limited team, but certainly no worse than the horse punchers or Udderfield have been, they play to their strengths sane as any other side, they might not win many games but they sure as hell will make it difficult for most teams

Start Keane and Mina. Even tho Zouma is good, he's still a loanee. We need to stick with players who actually have a chance to play next season.

Keane has got to play

What a massive turnaround in 12 months for this kid. 12 Months ago it was "anyone but Keane!" from everyone (myself included) and I say he is been excellent and there is absolutely no reason to drop him.

Given all 3 are playing well - I say it's the loanee that should be making way. Always a chance Mina will not last 90 as he is still coming back - but this is also a great fitness exercise for him whilst there is a quality replacement for him on the bench

I wanted Keane to play last season alongside Funes Mori when he got vack from injury as I thought they might work well together. However Brands Silva decided it was for the best that Funes Mori be moved on along with Williams and he has brought in 2 more than adequate replacements. They will all get time I think as I can't see us going thru the rest of the season without injuries or suspensions. I am made up for the lad as it would have been easy for him to have hidden.

Keane has done absolutely nothing to deserve benching. It's Mina or Zouma to miss out for me, possibly Zouma as he's not our player.

However, he's been very good so far so Silva really does have a huge selection headache.
