If we can score in the 1st 30 mins then it will be game over. If we haven't the natives get restless and the team will get anxious. If we do score a winner late on then can see a coleman type of celebration lol

It hasn't been like that recently, we didn't score until late against Palace and Goodison didn't become restless at all. I do agree though that if we score early then it will be 3 or 4.

Guess this is the first match that odds saw us this overwhelming favourites...@1,42 for Everton win atm

I’m over for the game and I won’t be getting restless
Cardiff will sit back and be thrilled with a point
It could be like Palace all over again but they won’t offer an attacking threat
Patience is key for the team and the fans
We need a bit of Bernard magic to unlock these
I can see numerous freekicks in and around the box

Yes I suppose I was being a little harsh. The fans seem to be buying into the new Everton and can see the vast improvement in terms of style and attacking intent and long may it continue. If the team keep the fans onside then who knows what we can achieve. It helps the team to know they can attempt risky passes or efforts knowing the fans won't be moaning so they can express themselves more.

I would go

Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Digne
Gueye Gomes
Walcott Bernard Lookman
Tosun

Subs
Stekelenburg, Zouma, Baines, Davies, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

I know some faces are going to be pulled at resting Sigurdsson and Richarlison but that team is more than strong enough to see off Cardiff. They can be brought on if needed. I'm just desperate for them both to be fit for the Derby as they represent our best chance if winning. I can imagine them both being extra pumped up because they got left out. It's also then a straight fight between the other 4 who start as to who claims the remaining 2 attacking places for the Derby.

In midfield if we get the game safe I would take Gomes off as he is another who could do with protecting but too many changes from the off would possibly leave us disjointed.

Defence it is Keane and Mina until suspension, injury or loss of form. It's harsh on Zouma but if he gets back in he is offered the same protection. This should make sure high standards are maintained at all times.

Given that everyone appears to be in training I would go with this. I think we will win 3-0 hopefully Tosun and Walcott to score maybe Keane with the 3rd. If we put it to bed early no need to see either Sigurdsson or Richarlison. Get Gomes and Gueye off and maybe give 3 at the back a go with our 3 main options.
