If it wasn’t a penalty it was a dive. Either way it would be controversial so should have air time in my opinion. I’m fairly certain it was a pen but if not hold my hands up

They didn’t show Paterson’s or camerasa chances either
On another day you get that penalty. Also on another day Richarlison scores his header and a real good bumming begins. Swings and roundabouts.

Disagree that Cardiff earned much credit. They are the worst alehouse team seen here in years. I thought that kind of football had gone out years ago. OK, maybe it can be argued that they can't be blamed with a load of poor players and desperate to survive, which is frankly unlikely. Our problem was we were devoid of real attacking threat. Bernard, nice lad that he is, game after game shows he is inadequate and generally lost in this division. I really hope he adjusts to the intensity eventually. No wonder he is subbed every game. Richarlison was a nonentity and is obviously not used to playing against the physical approach of teams like Cardiff. Maybe he had played and travelled too much with Brazil. Even DCL would have been preferable against Cardiff. Walcott is totally ineffective and should not be picked until he finds some sort of form. Lookman when he came on was a breathe of fresh air. We are desperate for a goal scorer. It turned out to be a creditable win against tough, physical opponents who got away with murder with another awful, out of his depth referee.

Is this a serious observation? You genuinely think he's inadequate and not good enough for the Premier league?

I never expected us to batter Cardiff but I did expect a more cohesive team performance. Too many passes went astray and it was obvious that not all players were on the same wavelength.
We def need a quality CF if we are to break into the top 5 and Bernard and Walcott need to do much, much more.
Lookman did well when he came on but I think he is trying too hard to impress and trying to beat an extra man or shooting when he should be passing.
The other lot have a midweek game while we can get ourselves organised all week for what will, hopefully, be a performance like we gave at Chelski.
Lookman ought to be told he will start at least the next two. That should settle him down and allow him to play his natural game and not try to hard.

I voted for Gomes as he was head and shoulders above anyone on the park today, but Keane was quietly assured which fills me with hope for the season. Lookman likewise is coming on leaps and bounds.
Too many misplaced passes and tricks that didn’t come off today. We’re a work in progress and earned three points from a cussed and professionally negative Cardiff side. Warnock should be earning extra dough over panto season with his bunch of spoiling bitching grocks and their hideous support.

nice to see big nev make an appearance

I hate it when fans judge a club like cardiff on the style of football. They cant play attractive football at the moment and should play whatever they want to stay in this league. Their manager done well with the resouces. Now chelsea last week which was a different story who could have injured a few off our playere.
They played a fairly clean game, so hats off to them.

The most confusing thing about Cardiff is how they use Paterson. He's basically played RB his whole career and they've bought him and stuck him in midfield originally and now he's playing up top. He isn't particularly effective either.
