....how good was Ozzie today. Well done little fella. Takes someone special to be brave and look to keep possession like he did today. Not quite MoM but he did tremendous.

Eggs he was awful lid! Loads have jumped on the bandwagon about him lately but they're in the right tonight.

Does anyone else have any concerns that Mirallas seems to go missing and give the impression that he can't be arsed for too much in games. Could just be down to the fact that I'm watching on streams and don't get to pick up on his movement etc...

Well in you beautiful blue boys.

Barry and Naismith were magnificent.

We were lucky in parts as they missed a few sitters. Bet they wish they kept Lukaku now, tossers!

Was much more himself than in previous games today.

Just wish he'd rinse a few more defenders.

thought he looked much more dangerous when he was moved centrally, which is his strongest position I think. He started wide left which i think is his least preferred of the front 4 slots. Possibly that had summat to do with it

We brought on a defender in stoppage time today as well. We also barely entered there half for 15 minutes after the break, let alone attacked.

Moyes has gone let it go. If you really want to compare managers then wait until the end of the season rather than deciding on one game.

i think the difference is that under Moyes we would have deliberately sat deep for the rest of the match to try and absorb pressure, but Bobby made changes that allowed us to come back at them as an attacking force. Towards the end of the game we were the more dangerous side.

Hmmm, I'm tempted to give Mikel the benefit of the doubt as he didn't really move and looked like he was putting his hands up to protect himself.

Luiz though was the last man and committed a deliberate foul, which should equal a red I think.

Don't think it was even a foul, Barkley ran into Mikel from close range.

Referees should consider the following circumstances when deciding whether
to send off a player for denying a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity:
• the distance between the offence and the goal
• the likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball
• the direction of the play
• the location and number of defenders
• the offence which denies an opponent an obvious goalscoring opportunity
may be an offence that incurs a direct free kick or an indirect free kick

No mention there of the words "last man". The fact he was in our half with (i think) Ramirez certainly in with a chance of getting back means it wasn't obvious. It was an obvious chance to get an obvious goalscoring chance but i think Webb got it right.

If it had been given a red against Jags people would be fuming, if he gave a red in that scenario either way some people would say he ruined the game and wanted to make himself the centre of attention or something.

Ofcourse Man utd are gonna be up there...they have a brilliant team alreafy w/o Moyes' magic but you're missing the point. Had we lost today we'd have lost while trying to win, with Moyes it was obvious that against a big team...just defend and hope you see it out but concede and lose.

We brought a defender yes...but we also brought on Deulofo. The point is this, you need balls against big teams and composure which we showed today apart from the awful first half up until the goal. We did not panic in the second half.

it was the 80th minute, hardly ruining a game with 10 left.

Thought we put a shift in today, very good overall, looked to have that missing Plan B that we've been crying out for in previous games.

Encouraging performance and we need to take confidence from this as a squad and assert ourselves properly on games in an attacking sense. If Barry puts in performances like that then we can have the confidence of knowing we can put an opposition on the back foot and not worry about Leon "Invisible Man" Osman being exposed on the counter.

We got a much better hold of the game when he made that change. I was surprised at how well Mirallas held the ball up, it was a much better performance from him today.

That is it exactly, and when you compare it to Mourinho's subs - especially the bizarre one of taking Mata off - it looks even better. Also the change in Mirallas was immediate, he looked the sort of player that Suarez would maim again.

View from the Palace End; Well done Blue, great win, great performance. I liked the way Martinez was able to change the formation so comfortably and how everyone (more or less) looked so comfortable with the ball. Barry and Coleman were superb.
Just seemed to be so much more belief in the team. Naismith's best game yet?
A skilful blend of "Dogs of War" with "School of Science."
Must be nice to be above us now as well  Once you've smashed the Spammers and the Barcodes you'll be top 3!

I strongly disagree. We took off a striker for a midfielder (McCarthy for Jelavic), and then a defender for midfielder (Stones for Naismith). For a few minutes we were playing a 5-5-0 (unofficially). I was screaming at the tv all of the second half, we really played like Wigan in the second half today I thought. You compare today's game with, say, the 1-0 win over Man U last season, and I would say we were even more conservative today than then.
