Doucoure has been putting in serious shifts recently as has Siggy. Iwobi makes way for Bernard. Digne looked knackered on Wednesday so gut tells me he sits this one out.

Really need 3 points here and beat these lower positioned sides comfortably. I'd be surprised if we are as bad we were during Newcastle game.

I honestly think he the best way to get through this week is to play a massively weakened team on Wednesday.

Thanks to the absolutely useless FA we will have played Wednesday, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday when we should have had plenty of time to prepare for the derby.

We need to firstly make sure we win today, so full strength as much as possible, albeit with Pickford, DCL and Allan definitely out and James probably available.

City will have got exactly what they wanted by cancelling the initial fixture when we rest a load of players and they walk all over us on Wednesday.

Yup but we haven't got the squad yet - Carlo hasn't had the chance to build a squad able to cope with that yet. Hopefully he can deliver us to the promised land this season and complete his squad build in the summer.

TECHNICALLY we DO have the squad for it. Issue is that about 80% of the rest of the "squad" is utter crap and wouldn't be called on unless we literally have no other options.

I'd bloody hate us to be in Europe with this squad. We'd genuinely end up fighting in the bottom half of the table imo.

I agree with the propoundings around our sub-optimal squad depth: we have so many players with little stomach for a fight and who are essentially deadwood, that swaths of the squad should be nicknamed 'the petrified forest'.

I'd certainly start Gilfi as he is playing well. Looks like James starts too so that
should give the team the guile it will need to beat a difficult Fulham team.
Also, looking forward to seeing King make an impact.

I'd be playing Richarlison down the middle (our forward) with two players from the selection of Jameś, Bernard, Iwobi and King.

With DCL he's not going to get many of these opportunities, but for me Richarlsion looks more comfortable (and confident) in the central role.
