....wouldn’t be surprised to see Richarlison go on a little goalscoring run. It often happens following a drought and will be timely given DCLs expected absence.

King will surely start, this is why he was brought in. Never noticed Allan in the pre-match training video, despite Ancelotti saying he’d be ready for this one.
All great teams need someone to pick up the slack with goals and we’ve not had that in a very long time. Most of our best teams recently had no back up, if Lukaku didn’t score what then? Richy was so good against Spurs, love more of that today!

Our last game against them was a nervy one

Bossed them first half, but looked totally lost in the second

Just a case of which one of those turns up

I think we will win this with Rich on the scoresheet. For a more thorough analysis I would invite the opinion of BarryThomp.... Oh dear...

I think we're at the point where gaps are starting to open up in this group of 8/9 that seemed to only be separated by a handful of points earlier on in the season and finally the top half of the league is starting to take something like the shape it will be in at the end of the season.

Winning today would suggest we might have the consistency to be one of the sides challenging for 4th/5th (Leicester, Liverpool, Spurs, United, Chelsea) rather than 7th (West Ham, Villa, Arsenal, Leeds) and would put us right in the CL conversation for now at least.

It's for that reason I don't think it's unreasonable for an Evertonian to be fully expecting anything but 3 points here.

At the risk of sounding like Alex Ferguson I do think tempo is important for us in this game. If you look at Leicester yesterday their tempo was rubbish for the first 3/4 of the game and they hardly had a chance. Once they went behind and upped it they won comfortably. We need to start at that tempo, score and exploit their fragile confidence.

Going by the weather the last few days, its going to be a mad windy night, which hopefully wont put us off somehow-it shouldnt really if we play on the ground though, sticking to 3-0 or 3-1
