Four points between now and Sunday and it will have been a better week than I anticipated. But let's face it, it's one point at best.

If a Liverpool team full of u23s and reserves can play our first team off the park in the FA Cup, a slightly weakened version of their first team, at Anfield, will dispose of us at a canter.

Those who doubt it should take a look at the last 22 years worth of fixtures.

Ah is it 22 years. Been so long since I jumped the 26 up the Valley there. Slightly weakened version too you say....well thats a bonus for them then? . Apparently, recent melodramatic press and RS bleats had them pared down to their very bones.
Just shows yer, hey.

It almost seemed that Carlos’ tactics were to lay back back and hit them on the counter. Surprising, considering that this was Fulham not Manchester City... and no one in a blue shirt seemed able to actually counter. We were doomed from the start.
Why did he play such an attacking line.uo if sit back and counter was the plan ?

Playing Coleman and digne, with both Gomes and Sigurdsson I'm Midfield is too attacking and leaves us too open.

If we played the back 4 of Holgate, Mina , Keane and Godfrey, with Digne in LM, then had pace for counter with King, Iwobi and Richy, I'd beleive that was set up to hit them on the break.

The team we did put out wasn't to hit Fulham on the break, not sure what it was ment to do, but it didn't work

It's a shame that our next game is City where we'll be smashed regardless of whether we play well or not. Usually the players can summon up the courage to show some spirit of 45 minutes or so, but playing ok and still being smashed is going to make the fans mad. And then when we bend over for Liverpool on Saturday it's going to top off one of the worst weeks in years for us.

flicked his heel up into keepers chest in frustration. Knew exactly what he was doing, don’t understand how var didn’t give red. Lucky but well take it

Fair enough, I didn’t notice it and I’m not going to subject myself to watching any replays of it. A few people have said it so it seems we can take that as luck

Last night in the 85th minute i counted 12 passes that went from RB to CB to LB and back and forth, without reaching a midfield player!!!
At 2-0 down or even 0-0 that's simply shocking, I've seen many bad performances over the years but i cannot think of one worse than that.

I thought Davies was our best player and shouldn't of been taken off and i would give him a 4/10

This was on Ancelotti this one:
I believe we shouldn't be changing the CB pairing unless injured or completely out of form.
King should of started
30 yard gap between the midfield (if that's what i can call it) and the forwards
Why are we voluntarily conceding possession against sides like that? On Wednesday and this weekend yes but Fulham!!
That was like watching a team of Morgan Schneiderlans total crab football with no balls to go forward.

Il repeat and repeat Holgate is massively overrated by our fans and a complete liability and will find his level soon at a PL/Championship yo-yo club.
I said a couple of weeks ago he's 4th choice CB and 3rd choice RB after Coleman and Godfrey.

And yet when we played our four central defenders across the back we won, and won and won?

And so was Gylfi that doesnt mean he is good enough.
How many clean sheets do we get when he plays?

He gives away daft freekicks in dangerous areas and puts us under pressure.

To be fair to Carlo I wouldn’t blame him if his mind wasn’t on the job. His house has just been robbed with his daughter in it, unless you’ve been through it you can’t imagine the terror of it.
NEA, I’ll forgive him this one.
The team however are a different kettle of fish.
James although brilliant is never up for a battle against street fighters.
Both centre half’s lacked the responsibility to pass it forward. It went from side to side and allowed Fulham to regroup behind the ball.
It was almost like the team were missing DCL and using it as an excuse to throw in a stinker.

Fair play to Fulham, battered us for 90 minutes, showed real spirit, played for each other and the manager. I’ve a feeling they’ll survive.
Not a mention of their superb performance or the game on Sky sports main page website, unbelievable

This is what’s amazing. There was a massive gap with the midfield between both forward and defense. It’s like they each picked a 5x5 patch of grass and weren’t allowed to leave it because they lost a bet or something. They were pathetic.

....a very poor evening at the office for Ancelotti and the players.

Lack of energy (perhaps understandable); lack of application; lack of attitude; lack of organisation; lack of blend and very slow to change what was obvious from the outset. Thought two of the better players were substituted, Tom Davies my MoM.

Fulham much the better team from the outset, we should’ve exploited the fact it was still 0-0 at half-time.
