My guess is that Dyche will play Keane and Mykolenko with Young filling in for McNeil. I can't see him risking both DCL and Danjuma either. One or the other up top depending on who is closest to match fitness. It's going to be a long ugly scrap this season. Be happy with an opening 0-0

Just saw Mitrovic came on as sub in their friendly today so maybe all the drama is over and he's staying
Hopefully not match fit for a start but would prefer if he was out altogether

Also Pereira back way sooner than expected
Need to be on it against these. Important 3 pts

Keano and Gods at heart of defence next week unless we snare Maguirey and then it will be Keano and Maguirey.

Usually excited for the season to start, but with a squad that's worst then the last two seasons, it just doesn't bring me any hope for the season,
Championship all over it by the looks of things

We owe these a beating after Goodison last season. I was encouraged by a number of individual performances against Sporting today - hopefully that's carried into next weekend.

Hoping we line up like this;
—————Pickford—————
Patterson-Tarkowski-Branthwaite-Young
——Onana——Garner——Gueye———
——Iwobi——DCL——Danjuma——

Although not much transfer business being done, that is a stronger team than we put out for most of last season. Despite being 38- Young is an upgrade on Mykolenko. Danjuma offers good attacking threat and DCL hopefully fit means we should create more chances. I think the Tarkowski/Branthwaite CB pairing has great potential.

100% out, pal.
100% out, pal.
[Poor language removed], I suppose I’d go with something like this then

Pickford
Patterson Tarkowski. Branthwaite Young

Garner. Onana. Gueye. Danjuma

Maupay
DCL

But I think that highlights the problem within the squad, other than only having 1 Centre Forward, there isn’t anyone to really link up the midfield with DCL, I picked Maupay but a ‘Dele Alli’ type of player is what is needed.

So if I understand correctly the one that is always injured (dcl) probably to start, but the ones that never get injured (mcneil & tark) are both out...cant wait to see the 2 goalkeepers on the bench and still not being able to fill in the bench

It is going to be a long, long season I fear,Dyche will really have his work cut out,you cant polish a you know what and all that, all I am hoping for is this lot are now a lot fitter, they will also be more organised, the squad not team is at this moment in time weaker than we finished last season,we simply have to get more bodies and better quality in,I was hoping against hope they would have been in for Fulham, doesn’t look likely now,Danjuma injured,McNeil out,Tarkowski? Will Calvert Lewin contribute or just fold leaving us bare up front?would love to spin some positivity on this but it is very difficult currently to do so as a Blue, praying for a scruffy 1-0,2-1 win🙏
