Underwhelmed with the line-up; I don't expect much going forward from Godfrey at RB. Similarly, I don't expect much from Maupay and with no Onana nor Doucoure then I can't see much bit in midfield.

I pinning all my hopes on the CB and Gray to get us a goal(s).

Rewarding players, such as Maupay, who have absolutely stunk all season with starts is disgusting, imo. That useless kin get best post at least a brace here today.

No Everton manager has picked on form for as long as I can remember. It's nothing new.

The unfortunate thing, and part of the reason why, is because we haven't got enough good players, and always have a few out injured. With the players available, there is no team selection that would fill me with confidence. All we can do is try to grind out a result but it won't be pretty.

Our best hope here is for a set piece goal, a Fulham implosion, or an act of God.

If we do somehow win this, surely it'll be by 1-0. Tarko from a corner and a backs-to-the-wall effort to keep a drifting, on-the-beach Fulham out.

A boy can dream.

Why would you be optimistic just because you support a team? Surely you'd need a little evidence to justify your optimism, or are you talking purely of the blind variety that we can all happily ignore?

Why do you need evidence to be optimistic ?

Very odd comment.

An optimistic outlook is scientifically linked to being better for your mental and physical health. Seeing as it’s football and not a life or death situation I’m not sure why you would not choose to be optimistic about it.

Can see this being this season’s version of the Wolves home game last season. Cannot see that line up getting a result in the Premier League.

The losses hurt less when I have low expectations. 20 odd years of Everton have knocked the positivity out of most of us.

Simms 1 goal in 193 mins. (the best rate we have) Maupay 1 goal in 1116 mins. As others have said, give Simms a fair chance! Hopefully Maupay is on fire, and we win comfortably, but I’m less confident than I would have been if Simms started. Looking forward to seeing how Garner gets on, but It’s a depleted lineup to be coming into. Time for a couple of em to step up with rare goals! Be positive and don’t be afraid to shoot! And just win somehow!
