Thought Mirallas was poor again today. Doesn't seem to want the ball and isn't making things happen when he's got it.

Hasn't really had a good game this season IMO.

Aye I was thinking that too but he scored one and set up the other so he's worth keeping on the pitch for that I suppose.

Just seems to have far less involvement this season which does my head in.

What else I noticed as well was when he had the ball in the final 1/3 we seemed to stop dead on the ball or there was lack of movement and runs. Barkley ran at them but had to stop and turn back because there was no support or no one with him.

It happened at throw ins, it happened when our midfielders had the ball and the only option was Lukaku who had a lot of work to do.
Spot on frustrating as it was, a bit more movement in and around the final third would have seen us bury Hull.
Credit to Hull who gave us no time at all on the ball,on another day they could have taken a point.
Having said that to win when we weren't playing well is testament to a good side.

Yeah seems stupid to say when he's set one up and scored one. I thought this would be a big season for him after the way he was pre-season. Just hasn't got going yet. Got to keep him in the side because he goes past people easy and he's pacey.

Frustrating knowing what he's capable of and how dangerous we'll be when he's at it.

Agreed lid. I reckon he'll be better when were counter attacking teams but he hasn't pushed on at all since pre season.

Hello lads,

I haven't read anyone's views or opinions yet, I've came straight in with my own.

Everton played well today, I wouldn't say solid as such but we played well enough to get the win and should've easily been 3-1.

The referee was a bit out of his depth and Hull come across to me as another Stoke City, they are a good physical team and will fight for every ball and possession. I don't mean like Stoke in a bad way. They will stay up this year.

Key performers today were James McCarthy and Kevin Mirallas, Mirallas played really well, his best performance this season and McCarthy never wasted a ball and used his vision superbly.

Coleman, Baines, Barry also played well and done their jobs respectively.

Pienaar made an instant impact and slotted back into midfield like he'd never been away, really impressed with Pienaar today despite lacking match practice.

The team were good and the only bad things I could pick up on was Distin at times who looked nervous sometimes, wasn't his usual consistent self and left his marker once or twice allowing them free headers.

Hull weren't a bad team and came for a win, they can walk away from this with their heads held high. Well done to them.

I'm still out so I will come back on later and engage properly.

Cheers

You be sure and take your time, Mick.

No need to rush back.

Ste, I thought Mirallas played one of his better games

Couldn't see it meself mick. Rarely got the ball and gave it away when he did I thought.

If you think back to how good him and Seamus where last year at home to Soton, then think on how he was today there's a world of difference there. Think he's stopped trying to isolate the full back and get at them.

Putting it into perspective... A large chunk of fans thought we'd be fighting relegation by this time.

*looks at Goat*

Yeah, we've gone from "will 38 points be enough to avoid relegation" comments to talking Euro league.

Meanwhile on Red Cafe from a thread on today's 1-1 draw with Southampton:

"Precious point gained in our battle against relegation."
