nice to win when were not at r best , hull hardest working side ive seen in a long while , and can also play a bit of footy

good win and 3 points. McCarthy was my MOTM he is going to be a great signing for us
Kone all he needs is just 1 to go in, Osman sorry to say has come to an end

As has been pointed out, we were a lick of paint away from a comfortable 3-1 against a team that's only lost to Chelsea and Citeh away, and some people still aren't happy. I'm delighted - you can't always play at your best, and the best teams can grind out results on the times that they're not firing on all cylinders. That's exactly what we did today.

Yeah seems stupid to say when he's set one up and scored one. I thought this would be a big season for him after the way he was pre-season. Just hasn't got going yet. Got to keep him in the side because he goes past people easy and he's pacey.

Frustrating knowing what he's capable of and how dangerous we'll be when he's at it.

Just read that so kinda get your point of view a little more now

Not saying he's crap or even that we should drop him or anything like that. Just he's below his best. He was terrorizing sides single handed the end of last season and looked good pre-season too.

My favourite player to watch when he's at it.

Absolutely spot on that mate. I could only listen to the first half as I was in work but I seen the 2nd half, they had 1 chance 1 minute before we scored. A few poor balls and finishes 2nd half apart, we would have won that game comfortably. I think Hull are a decent side and will deffo take points off a few sides I reckon. Good 3 points and still room to improve which is positive.

Aye kinda agree, on form like he was a few games the tail end of last year, he was probably the most exciting thing ive seen since Kanchelskis (doubt he will be surpassed in a long long time though), still think for us this year the best he looked was when he was shifted up front second half (think it was the chelsea game), only time this year he had that look of scaring the opponent a bit

Found it funny the way Mirallas went straight up to Martinez or someone on the coaching team when Barkley didn't pass to him. little grass.

Agree. When Luiz should have had a red for hauling him over.

Even off his game you've got to make plans for him and sit deeper than you normally would so he's well worth playing.

I would also like to mention as well the Hull support. Goodison looks amazing and complete when the away fans fill both tiers. There little smoke bomb wasn't bad either. Best away support I've seen at Goodison this season.

View from the Palace end; well done Blue, Overall a really good performance with some stand out individual perfomances from Barry, Mcarthy and Barclay in particular. Hull were depressingly well organised and in Curtis Davies have a player living up to potential at last.Good to see an Everton team not settling for a point. Not sure about that miss from Konesenthal though! Off to Selhurst on Monday.A win and we will be only two points behind Hull. err.

Pleasing start and some positive signs. Barry and McCarthy have struck up a good understanding, lukaku has been a revelation and Barkley is developing all the time. The negatives for me are we don't look as solid defensively (I guess we all feared that) and one of better players from last season (miralles) has been very quiet. However we still have Alcaraz and piennar to come back into the fold both of whom will I feel benefit playing under Martinez. Add to this delboy and stones development, there are a lot of positives to look forward to even more.
