A strong midfield helped a lot, and I mean that in a physical sense (Allan and VDB weren't battled off the ball) and technically. They won the ball and played it.Not only just a persistent offensive threat, I thought the team was pretty sound defensively as well. Except at the end of game someone probably had to elucidate the meaning of the term clean sheet to Keane and Holgate as they were probably baffled on the concept. Jesting aside both defenders while not exceptional by any means can be serviceable if their confidence is intact. Games like this and some greater consistency will aid them in generating some self-assurance.
VDB dropped back into the gaps very well. This meant that we were defending from the front and it let the likes of Keane and Holgate play their own game.
We didn't give Leeds a sniff - we took it to them - and that's the difference.
