We have 3 fit centre backs, one of whom is very young, and we have 3 fit full backs, none of whom are left backs. How do you pick a good side out of that.

We have to accept the facts, and the facts are that no team we put out tomorrow will be the one we want to field. Our squad building over the last few years has been shambolic with the wrong signings in the wrong positions, and a complete reluctance to move on players who are never fit.

This is the most thoroughly embarrassing group of players ever to wear Everton shirts I can't relate to them at all. But only they can get us out of this, so all my feelings and negativity towards them needs to be parked.

Honestly at this stage I think trying out lads from the youth team can't be any worse than persisting with the likes of Keane

We're already losing a lot. Some youthful exuberance could be a difference maker

It's not just the personnel though, it's how they are set up and drilled
