Listen you lot should do the right thing and roll over for us! Victory against you lot sends us above Liverpool and sends them sliding further down the table. Surely this isn't a bad thing ha!
Or on the other hand if you roll over for us we potentially go 7 points clear of them which could be difficult to claw back. Gwon you know you wanna!

At least 8-0 preserves our record I suppose

Yeah our first 11 is class, probably similar to yourselves though our squad lacks proper depth to compete with the Man city's etc

I think yours has a little better depth than ours. Your only 2/3 top players from having a very very good squad. I'd say Vardy needs replacing but I've been saying that for 4 years and the ugly ferret still continues to slot.

I think we really need to press on with it but how do you even begin to replace a player like that. Ideally we need someone who can make an instant impact but also learn from JV. Iheanacho just isn't it at all!

Danny Ings would do a job in the short term but obviously has question marks over his fitness

We've actually done pretty well considering our injuries this season (overshadowed in the media by the RS injury list). Ricardo Pereira and Soyuncu have been put for large spells and Ndidi and Maddison have also had longish spells out

Ings is a very good shout. Very similar. You'd need to get him in the summer and Southampton will still probably want something ridiculous even though he'd have 12 months left.

I tell you who would do well for you, Tosun. Mark my words he's a slotter, just hasn't settled on Merseyside. 15m ought to do it I reckon!

I'll take your word for it lol

Justin has done really well and Ndidi I've always liked. Am I right in saying Walsh scouted him before he came to us? Said he wouldn't try and sign anyone he had scouted for you? We ended up with the crab Schneiderlin and you got Ndidi around the same time (January window)

Mate everyone’s injuries (and suspensions) have been overshadowed by the RS. We didn’t have James for over a month, Allan has been out since the start of December, Digne was out for a month (all at the same time), DCL and Richarlison have been out. Every team has had bad ones but only one team actually gets any media ‘sympathy’. Funny that isn’t it? Carlo had to manage all of December with no full backs, his 2 most creative players gone and the midfield glue. But we hear about Saint Virgil every single game in commentary :p

Bugger.

Actually if Digne is available how about Godfrey as a DM?

Could play Godfrey DM and ask him to man-mark Maddison, who makes them tick. So long as he remembers to take Mads out of his pocket at full time ;)

Thing is, simply dropping in Godfrey in at DM against Leicester is quite a bold move. People say he's been exposed to the role before... but that was some time ago and against lesser opposition (on loan in League 1 or something?). Dropping someone in at full-back is easier - you have the touchline to inform your positioning. DM is about reading the game, awareness of where everything is around you. It takes experience, know-how, and a bit of exposure to the role.

That being said in the original post I was up for playing Godfrey in that role. If he's man marking Maddison then positioning less of an issue. Couple of ex-Norwich legends as well so would be nice to pit em against eachother.

SOME OF THE ANCELOTTI PRE MATCH LEICESTER P/C

Digne and Iwobi back

We have back Digne and Iwobi. We have out Delph, Gbamin, Allan and Nkounkou. The others are all good.

Ancelotti on Leicester

I think we started well this part of the season. Now we have a different type of game. It's a test for us. Leicester are one of the top teams in the Premier League. We had a good memory from the last time & for this reason we have confidence
The absence of Jamie Vardy can affect them because he's a fantastic player but they have a good squad & good organisation

Ancelotti on Lewin

Really important also really important to have him, he scored a goal against Sheffield. Also Richarlison is back and seems in a better condition. We are pleased have both of them back.”

Ancelotti on Transfer's

There is no news at the moment. We are not looking for other players. The players who are here, like to stay here.

Ancelotti on Everton's Potential outgoing and incommings

I don't know if they are talking with other teams. They are our players & we will see if they are talking with others. I'm not going to ask until they talk to me about it, and until now they didn't

Ancelotti on Lampard

To be sacked is part of our job. I was sacked everywhere so I have to consider this fact! Frank will find soon another opportunity because he's a good manager. He did well at Chelsea but the reason for the club, it was not enough
Chelsea is not more difficult than other clubs. It's the same. Every club has expectation & when things aren't good, the easiest way is to change the manager. This is what happens in football. It's a part of our job, nothing more

Leicester is a really important game

If you think about the game against Leicester and Newcastle. I think it is a really, really important game for us. To know what we want in the future, to fight for the top six, to fight for the top four. But also Newcastle...we will know where we will be in the future, After Saturday we know where we're going to be. I hope it will be a nice future

Ancelotti on do you miss Champions League

Personally, yes. I think it's the best competition in the world. As I said when I arrived here, to take Everton into the Champions League is a fantastic motivation for me personally. It's a great desire, “I hope soon we can play games in the Champions League because the Champions League is the best competition in the world. To take Everton to the Champions League is a great, great desire and motivation for me

Ancelotti on Small & Onyango Debut's

The progress is, we are working on these players. We take care of our Academy. We have a fantastic manager there. The first team is really close with the academy. Leighton Baines is working there now

Delph Return's to Training

Carlo Ancelotti confirms Fabian Delph has returned to training and we only have Gbamin and Allan currently out injured

Ancelotti on James

Yeah he was really good with the ball, that’s what we ask of him. To be really good and efficient with the ball. He made a lot of passes and was good on set-pieces. The fact he is back, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin can take advantage

Ancelotti on Holgate in Midfield

We don’t have Doucouré or Allan. We have Tom Davies, he satisfied in the last game he is going to play. We have Andre, he did well. We know Mason can play in midfield, that is an option

Yep

Given the team news by Carlo, I’m thinking we’ll line up like this

Pickford

Holgate
Keane
Mina
Digne

Gomes
Sigurdsson

James

Iwobi
DCL
Richarlison

Same as last time vs these i think

Solid back line, use our set piece threats well

Vardy being out is a big help as he is so fast
