I think the main reason we won the last one is that we didn’t let him or Vardy get in behind. The four centre halves stayed quite deep, the fullbacks would only go forward with the ball so they didn’t caught out. Expect the same on Wed, even without Vardy our focus will be on staying solid then relying on James feeding the front 2. The problem with that is it may give opportunities for Maddison and Tielemans to shoot from range and they are both very good at it and I ve no faith in Pickford. On the flip side though, I can see James, Richarlison and DCL all playing well given how sharp they looked on Sunday. It all adds up to 2 each I think
Yeah you definitely did a job on us last time. Didn't you play Olsen last time?

@FOXINPEACE what type of team do you see your lot as mate, someone somewhere in here from your side said your really a possession based team and not the counter attacking team most think you are, whatever way you do counter pretty good ;)
We're definitely more possession based nowadays compared to 2015/16. Claude Puel was heavily criticised during his time here but he was the one that transitioned us into a possession side. We're still very handy on the counter attack and still adopt that approach against the likes of Man City etc.

Although most are no surprise happy Vardy is out, we have to remember that vardy had not scored any of Leicester's last 16 goals in 7 games in whatever comps [Know he was Injured for one of them etc]

Very true although as much as its a cliché thing to say, we're still a better side when he's playing. He's had to adapt his game over the last year or so. His involvement in games is quite minimal but it's as if he plays in certain phases. This either results in him getting goals or creating space for others to benefit

He has proved that so many times and against us in a few games, He looked like he was not even on pitch for a lot of the game and did nothing, then Bang he does what he does best and score's

As a sidenote it's good to see how DCL has progressed. He seemed to be a player that divided opinion on here so it's great to see him having a brilliant season. Is he the real deal or just in a purple patch?

Its a long purple patch if he is, 2nd most goals from an english player since Carlo came in, i do admit it was quite annoying when he missed some utter sitters and they cost us at times as in we missed the chance to win games but that can go for any player that misses a great chance, but he stays in the middle pretty much and if he misses one chance that does not put him off now and he goes again, were as he use to run out to the wing etc

Playing him through those frustrating times seems to be paying dividends now. Seems like a good, humble young man too. Hope he plays himself into regular England contention

It has been 13 months now and even when he hasn't been scoring this season, which was primarily because James and Digne were both injured, he has still been playing really well.

He stays central, his movement is fantastic, he can jump and head better than anyone in the League, he is rapid and he is built like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Edit: I forgot to also say, And he is beautiful.

I don't think you'll find many of us are overly confident. We're in a good run of form at the moment but we're always capable of putting in a dour performance, our home game against you for example.

We're both Jekyll and Hyde teams and both have some key players missing so it really could go either way. We're embarrassingly bad at defending and attacking set pieces so I would expect Carlo to really try and exploit that

There was a time last season I thought the wheels might have been coming off for Rodgers, (which happened at Liverpool and to a degree at Celtic) after the initial burst. He's steadied you think season, and as you say with the injuries you've had done really well to get you to where you are now. You're right in the mix for the top 4 and the league.

Madisson kicking on is a big positive too. I think for a while, after a positive start he flattered to decieve a bit. It's good to see him adding goals.

As I always tend to say, replacing Vardy will be tough and it's a ticking bomb a to when he goes. I'm delighted given his record against us he's missing.

Without him, I fancy us to win on Wednesday. We are well set up to play against sides like Leicester- good teams who will play football. It won't be pretty, but we will dog it out. If Evans is still playing for you, Richarlinson and DCL against him could give us some joy.

We were probably a bit lucky at Goodison last year, where you had a spell of battering us but we held firm. Thats the difference the manager has made for us, we don't have to play well to win. An older Italian manager, a bit like what you had with Ranieri, he has made us hard to beat and we score enough goals. This current Everton team reminds me a bit of Leicester in 2016.

How do you compare this Leicester team, to say the 2020 side and the 2016 vintage? How would you assess all 3. Probably at the same point in the season, you had a siilar points total across the 3.
