A bit of a disappointing game but I guess a point won in the end and move on. Think we need to go to the next phase of the teams development against Newcastle. Digne back to fullback and Doucoure back in the team should give more of a forward thrust.

Missed our midfield today, we all knew we would struggle in the engine room against them and it came to fruition. We didnt play well but the reality is if it hadn't been for flora fingers we would have won the game and be sitting 4th. Draw isnt the end of the world but we need to learn from this and drop that melon from net.

Our defence to a man superb tonight, Pickford done fine ....until that silly goal. Davies played well, as did Rodriguez, Gomes, Digne, okay but though they tried Dom and Ritchie were very well marshalled. Still if we beat Newcastle Saturday, then 4 out of 6 points I'll gladly take.

If you don't have the ball, you are not going to create chances unless you are really good at counter-attack. Davies and Gomes were awful as they neither stole the ball or control the midfield. You have someone like James who needs the ball to create, but if his back midfielders are not getting the ball then he doesn't become a factor (unless he happens to score a golazo like he did today). The defense was good again. Their goal was deserved, but it was a gift from Pickford. I'm really worried now about Richarlison. He is simply not winning balls, or really creating that much. He is simply not a threat. Let's be happy with the point.

Cant even call it a dreadful performance cos it looks like we intentionally set up to sit in like that, which is madness, fair enough if we planned to break at speed but we didn't do that either, I thought it was embarrassing to watch that, Carlo obviously didn't trust them, holgate at RB was an odd one and probably signalled CAs mindset..

Fair result, they had all the possession and the pressure we had the better chance. Not a Pickford fan, but the goal was always coming, very rare to withstand a full game of constant pressure without conceeding.

....absolutely, we had no legs to get out of defence until Iwobi came on. We particularly missed Doucoure.

Richarlison needs dropping for Iwobi at the moment. Every single attack breaks down with him and he was uncharacteristically lazy in his defending at times.
