I wish we had won but I take the point. We are still two games behind other teams so this still is a good result. Let's not allow ourselves to get drowned in negativity

I do hope Ancelotti leaves Pickford on the bench from now on.
it's a bit frustrating because I really think we could have won this if we started the 2hf with a mad desire to score another one

This season the way the table is, the teams which are brave enough are up there. You can't say the likes of West Ham and Leicester are overall better than Everton with the squad of players at disposal. Leicester have been coached extremely well which makes their team look positive and up for a challenge. Everton is just happy to be the small Everton happy with 7th or 8th, citing "injuries", "bad luck" etc etc.

We basically have no goal scoring plan unless its a cross from Digne. Our CM is the most uncreative in the PL. Docoure looks good because he tries to go forward and support the attack, which no one else from our midfield does.

We are still relying on a long ball to DCL where the CF is against 3 defenders with no one eager to sustain and shift attack right - center - left trying to look for angles, getting past full backs.

How will you win a FK or multiple corners if you don't have the quality or desire to go for the win?

Do one Carlo and Brands.
Clown! He's had one summer transfer window and brought in 4 quality players. Expect to see more this summer to really get things moving up a couple of gears.

With your attitude, you should be supporting Chelski or Watford...

You obviously don’t know football. Mourinho has won everything with performances of outstanding defence.
We tried something similar but were let down by the keeper.
Great teams are built on a great defence. Come the summer, Pickford will be gone, Carlo knows.
I obviously do, We were in under so much pressure they would have surely scored for sure even if Pickford hadn’t have messed up. We got lucky many times before that. I’ll agree the defence is good. Just remember Mourinho has won everything with teams a lot better than Everton, we have no chance defending out for 45 minutes against pressure like they put us under tonight. We are Everton not Real Madrid, in time perhaps we will be up there but atm we are well behind and dare I say it Leicester are one level above us atm.

With hindsight glad we got a point. Leicester are a good team no doubt about it and they will go further than us this season as they have numerous avenues of attack. Looking back on the game it is only a blunder by Pickford that has cost us the 3 points......We knew our midfield would be overrun and that was proved but the defence was as solid as usual and despite all the possession they had we probably still had the better chances but unfortunately couldn't take them.
Still think Richarlison is miles off and DCL was owned tonight and that is what grates me.......we should have another capable striker that can do things outside the box and keep any flow of play going. We need to be able to change up when things are not going our way but we can't. It becomes predictable and the better teams quickly blunt us. Defence was great, Midfield weak and attack sloppy and weak. At least Doucoure will be back and hopefully Allan too very soon. We need them.

All things considered that’s a good point... over run in midfield and with the particular players missing for us was telling.
They are no mugs and this is still a work in progress...
Last year that would have been a defeat.

Lets face it, as much as I disagree with the tactics tonight from Ancelotti, his timing of subs and the way we sat deep and let them have the ball, but.

That game was won with a clean sheet if Pickford doesnt blunder there.

Our defence to a man superb tonight, Pickford done fine ....until that silly goal. Davies played well, as did Rodriguez, Gomes, Digne, okay but though they tried Dom and Ritchie were very well marshalled. Still if we beat Newcastle Saturday, then 4 out of 6 points I'll gladly take.
until the Titanic sunk it was a fine ship.
