Well its probably based on having Gomes or Sig as the option to James to get the attack going. That rules out a lot of tactics for him. Best to batten down the hatches. Davies and back 4 were immense. Pity they were not backed up by Pickford.

Overall he was doing well up until we conceded.

Was he. He made a mess of one on the ground at the near post from a low cross but got lucky. Then the comedy of errors leading up to the goal. It's just like watching and over enthusiastic kid in goal.

Real sickener here is that, but for a horrible GK error, we’d be calling this a perfectly executed game plan.

I mean they've scored from a keeper error, Would have been perfect if Pickford wasn't a blert.

If Pickford hadn’t of thrown it in. We win this. It’s all on him this.

We all know/think Pickford has a clanger like that in him. Carlo must know it too. Sit on a 1-0 lead and invite the opposition on to you and you are just asking for something like that to happen. Play to your strengths and mitigate your weakenesses, and put players in a position to succeed, not to fail.

Plus if they hadn't scored then, we would have sat back the rest of the game, and they probably/may well score anyhow.

The thing for me though with Dom mate, yes he was isolated for long periods but he doesn't help himself sometimes. He makes himself too easy to mark.

Yeah id agree, he should be reading the balls up from the full backs and bending his runs to pull CHs, instead he gets caught standing still and easy for CHs to get a run on.. never got near Dignes flick ons even though we could see from early on he had the beating of Castagne everytime in the air.

Feels like a loss. But overall a point isnt a bad result. If we can get 3 points v the barcodes a draw v leicester will look good. I just so disappointed for the defenders. Mina, keane, godfrey were excellent and then the dope with his short arms pops up yer again to ruin it. Olsen has done well. Cannot understand why he keeps picking pickford. It really baffles me. I cannot see any reason why he should.

Annoyed that we essentially waited for them to equalise before we started playing a bit higher up the pitch.

...yep, I suppose the counter-argument might be that if we pushed on they might have scored more. It’s a difficult balance, but perhaps he could’ve brought Iwobi on earlier to at least get us up the pitch.
