we're 4 points from Europe and 8 points from relegation.
THIS SEASON. IS NOT OVER.
the implications of that can be positive, and they can be negative. As someone who loves analyzing statistics for soccer, we're in one of the most crazy-ass situations I've seen since Leicester's run (lolz Chelsea).
just check out the betting odds on relegation. NOBODY KNOWS. This is very much down to City dominance, holding out a large top point spread, forcing other brackets to close down.
t1:
20-14 -- 4 point spread
13-7 -- 9 point spread
6-2 -- 11 point spread
2-1 -- 15 point spread
x1:
20-10 -- 8 point spread
what does this crazy [Poor language removed] mean? Arsenal is a split team: it connects a 13 points gap from 7-5, which is not *too* unusual, but then we have a 15 point gap from 20-7
Everton are actually entering into another point gap as well, with a 6 point spread, but if we win against Arsenal, and the top half also advances with to a 51-point margin, we're talking about one of the most contested 7th place battles the BPL has seen in years. 2009 was a big one, with Fulham pulling it out, but this is up for grabs.
COYB if we get Europe again, then this isn't all for naught: that attracts managers/players, if we drop out it's a failure, if we get in this has only been a Stall, a Transition phase.
