Can anyone remember the last time we were going into a derby with the anticipation that we should win? plenty of times before both sides have been about level but deep down you still fancied those spawny gits to do us, this time around we are by a mile the form team and i genuinely think this is the first ever derby i can remember where i'm almost expecting us to win it - if those said red spawny gits do pull it off again on saturday then there really wont be any justice in the world.....

Loads of blind faith here at the moment, people just saying we will win cos were "everton" FFS. What does that compute to?

On form, yes we should confidently play them of the pitch.

On past encounters? No, we will turn into a school yard of prepubescent school kids hacking at shins and hoofing balls.

I can't remember a Derby I have been so equally been expectant of a win and a contentious loss at the same time

Nothing special at all - and didnt have time to add video and that as im revising, but put together some of 2009 FA cup clips and put them into singing the blues (Audio only), sorry its not that good, just wanted to make something for the journey down! Very ametuer, will do better when it comes to the final and i dont have uni exams to worry about (y)

yes but past encounters usually involved them being in better form and being 'expected' to win hence the hacking and hoofballs employed, gut feeling this time is different to every other derby in that we SHOULD win and its that feeling which is new territory i think

Also, thats the thing im looking most forward too on Saturday, 2.30 onwards on that clip, singing the blues!

I hope:

Gibson/Felli dominate the middle like they have been doing so much recently.

Neville climbs into Gerrard before that weapon gets a chance to launch yet another 'death from above' challenge.

Cahill batters that corner flag.

Royston comes on and tears them a new one over and over again.

Most importantly - we web these snidey little fookers all over the park leaving most of us without voices for a few days, allowing us to silently rip them using only our banners.

As i started reading Chico's write up...I kid you not "Eye of the Tiger" begins on my pandora station. Karma!

Moyes pre-game speech to the boys on Saturday should be:
"I fcuking hate the reds. Unleash Hell." ...then walk right the way out onto the pitch.

Hoping to see this:

Cahill hitting the back on the net!! So badly want to see that corner flag getting punched.

I have Cahill and 2-0 @ 66-1 on paddy power too, good odds that!

If it's Gueye and Osman outwide I can't say I'm all that confident. I can see Liverpool having more of the ball, even with there weakened midfield, and just edging us out.

yeah i was realy confident last season when we did them 2-0 and my faith was repayed with a very comfortable win, its a shame they got taken over, we would ahve been a good 6 or 7 points away from them if that wernt the case and we've only just turned up for the season a couple of months ago

Great preview as always Chico. It's stuff like the game previews that make this site special.

There's only one thing left to do...win the whole ****ing thing!

I really have a good feeling about Drenthe on this one and if that fails. Magaye "Secret Weapon" Gueye to surprise the crowd. COYB
