I am not saying Moyes should go, because that would be silly as I don't have an altarnative to him. However, this was just apaalling. As much as I am devstated, I just accepted the fact that we can not beat those lot in any way or fashion. The fact that I have that mentality is pure madness, but it hepls me not go mad.

Meh...

HOW SO?

Gueye looked knackered and it was obvious. Yet it took about 20 minutes to change it, giving instructions etc. By the time it's done it's 1-1 & we'd lost momentum.

Gibson had his worst game in a blue shirt today, and not just because we lost. Very VERY static in the middle, never properly offered up for the ball, and did [Poor language removed] all when he had it. Disappointing.

Gutted. My thoughts for what they are worth. First half they stood off Gibson and Fellaini in midfield and concentrated on defending from 40 yards out. Cahill had little space to work in but we could and should have used the opportunity to get a few quick short exchanges to get into shooting positions. We missed Pienaar terribly in providing that intelligence, a couple of flashes from Ossie but Jelavic's moment aside we didn't punish them as we should have.

Second half they pressured higher up, there was space infront of the back four but Cahill was dropping in too deep leaving Jelavic isolated and when he got passing opportunities they were pretty shoddy. Fellaini went more advanced which was ineffective as all he could do was knock back the high balls he did win into the pressured Cahill and Gibson. Distin looked shaky all afternoon I'm a big admirer but when he has a mare it's a big one.

The change that needed to happen then for me (and a bold one) should have been Coleman and Anichebe on, Gueye and Cahill off. Ossie supporting Jelavic and Fellaini back alongside Gibson. The inevitable came because we didn't react to their change of tactics early enough, didn't respond to their gifted goal in the right way and too many players who just didn't perform today. No individual scape goats for me, we lost as a team, manager included and everyone has a share in that.

They won fair and square based on that second half. Gutted.

Distin will get the blame, but it should be Cahill. He was abysmal today. Never showed up.
Agreed, since when was it Cahill's job to be the deepest of our three CMs? He has neither the talent nor the athleticism to play that role. But, let's face it, he's done anyways. Timmy, you were great, a legend even, but time's up lad. Hopefully we can get Dempsey in and fix our problem of a second striker.

First half: Played brilliantly.
Second half: Seems like the back line backed off. Distin didn't come out and control the long ball from the keep so they were able to win every one. Although I like switching Cahill and Fellaini at time, I don't think today was the day to do it. Fellaini was controlling the midfield and did a good job winning balls. Should have kept the form we had. Fellaini could have helped Baines out against Downing. Feel sorry for Distin, I know he does the same thing every time but in this big a game, that far out, and on the weaker foot shouldn't have even thought about it. Too many changes happened in the second half that shouldn't have....enough said.

This seriously bummed me out. That sub should have happened sooner.

Someone wrote earlier this game was won from the respective benches. I can't disagree with that comment.

It wasn't his fault - Moyes told Fellaini to play up front late on... again... for the billionth time it didn't work....
