Just pointless.

We had them on the racks in the first half, they were all over the place at the back, they had a Agger at LB for god sake! Once again we didn't press high up the pitch in the second half, just let them pick it up and come froward 20 yards before coming to any of our players. First half was good, we contained them, forced the mistake and took advantage. Why didn't we just play like we did against City & Chelsea for the whole game... it's the semi-final of the FA Cup against Liverpool!! There shouldn't be any extra motivation needed. No one remember second placers, no one cares or remembers semi-finalists. No one gives a **** about the 2009 final, it counts for nothing, this cup and the League Cup are the biggest chances for our players to win silverware during their times at Everton and probably in their entire careers and they perform like this.

Absolutely no energy in the second half, it's a disgrace. You run and run, you run your heart out and kick a football, it's going to hurt for 10 seconds once you stop to catch your breath it's not going to ****ing kill you. Spineless ****s! Complete lack of urgency in the second half, so slow and drab. 4 or 5 'shots' on goals with their 3rd choice keeper just isn't good enough. Complete lack of service to Jelavic, Baines might have put in 2 or 3 crosses if that! Cahill was pretty ineffective once again and some of his passing was just woeful. And swapping him and Fellaini... whaaa?! One of the best DM in the league and Moyes pushes him up to seemingly stop him from bossing the midfield. Gueye was anonymous, as much as Henderson but I think that's because we just didn't get him on the ball a lot. Ossie was good with the ball at his feet but final pass was poor, had a great chance to slip Jelavic in during the first half but just jabbed at the ball.

I'm just amazed at the no show in the second half, what did Moyes expect to happen just sit back and think everything will be okay, when we have no one on the bench and they have the likes of Maxi and Bellamy. He must have just said "go out and enjoy the sunshine lads, think about having a barbie tomorrow." The backpass was just unbelievable, so many times we just hoof the ball up the pitch in any situation, when there is some pressure like that Distin does that and on his weaker foot... inexcusable. That's kid **** he should know better.

I'm not sure who I'm more angry with the players or Moyes. The mentality comes from Moyes, after all he is a negative, dour ****, but the players have to take so much responsibility for rolling over in the second half and just letting the game pass so many of them by. It's just the same every time... why should I even look forward to the start of next season when it's a fact that we will get off to a **** start end up having to go on a cup run and perform like this when it matters the most.

And of course the most important question of the day where is Drenthe?!?

oh yea , im really sorry then. well done distin on the great season , you clearly did enough in games against wigan stoke and wolves to lose us an fa cup semi final against our bitter rivals without the call for any blame thrown your way even if it was your fault . big pat on your back your worth the heartache and greif we are all gonna suffer by smug kopites for years . stick around next season and do it again if you like , we love you and dont mind losing the biggest rivalry game in 25 years becouse of your mess up.honestly , your class and it didnt matter.

It woudlve been worse if Jags played.

Fact. Carroll wouldve bosses him. We needed a tall defender, and hes the only one.

It wasn't his fault - Moyes told Fellaini to play up front late on... again... for the billionth time it didn't work....

I can understand Moyes wanting Cahill still on the pitch but disrupting the Fellaini -Gibson base to the midfield to move two players into positions they are much less effective in just to keep that possible goal threat was a major error on Moyes' part. Especially as Liverpool were obviously dominating in the air anyway. Like I said Ossie should have replaced Cahill there to take advantage of the space that was available with them pressing higher with Anichebe being our only real option to take a wing berth. (Coleman replacing Gueye was a no brainer.) I don't want Moyes out however much it hurts right now to have been beaten but he wasn't bold enough, made a bad call and it cost us. That is his portion of the blame.

He can't be blamed.

The difference is players with a winning mentality, who turn up for big games, and players who dont.
We, sadly, have never had a team full of players with that mentality under Moyes.

So when the pressure is on, players make mistakes, hoof the ball, don't want it...which is what happened in that 2nd half when the rs wanted it more.

Bollox! he made a truly atrocious error, to call it a schoolboy error would be an insult to the average schoolboy!

Wow.

You've got problems mate.

haha , what ? that was what ya wanted me/peeps to say wasnt it ? ;)
shall i go to london and suck him off ? tuck him in tonight with a cookie some milk a pat on the head ? shall i give him a kiss and say "there there " ?
the lads feeling rotten , so would i - becouse i would also know that i cost us a semi final win. i cant change that fact.

beside Drenthe theirs no one else at the club bar Barkley who moyes won't play that would have made the differ today
pienaar will be off at the end of the season along with Drenthe.

so get used to Coleman and Gueye thats all the club have

To make it 1.1 with half an hour to play.

Caragher made an error in the first half, yet they won the game.

You dont score, you dont win. At 1.1 youre in the game, 30minutes to score.

The whole team **** it. The minute the second half kicked off, every Everton player bottled it.

Do think Distin lost us the game? Seriously? At 1.1? Not the whole team?

You are talking out of your arse.

Once again the "oh no we are playing Liverpool" mentality sets in and we implode. I will not fault Moyes, he set the best team but they let him and us down. Only Heitinga, Jelavic and Fellaini tried today.

How professionals can be so scared of another team is beyond me. This was last chance saloon for Neville, Distin and Cahill as certain starters next season. And God we need to get Pienaar on a permanent, he was so sorely missed today that it hurts.

no he didnt, drenthe is one of our best and he could have changed the game from the bench, ala bellamy. Cant say anything yet because we dont know why he wasnt playing
