I hate derby day, not the match its self specifically but the extremely Red bias buildup by all the media. They make us the panto villain, the whipping boys it's fun to poke and take the mick out of. If we win it's because the RS have played poorly and their poor performance gets analysed and if we lose they get lauded as greats and they're victory gets analysed. They do all they can to make us irreverent.

Think this is one of those least arsed for a derby i can remember. Really doesn't feel like there is a derby tonight, there hasn't been much buzz and even the sky build up is more stick stories of them lot talking of winning the league.

Just hope the game delivers something, my gut has this no chance sort of result. Not even the club have fired itself up for it, which after anfield last season you would at least expect the club to be doing some sort of media rally cry to encourage the fans that they care about getting a win tonight.

Do the talking on the pitch not to the press, whenever we have loads of players mouthing off in the media we always turn in a horror show, focus on the game and that's the best way to make a statement.

The way I look on it is that this season is one of transition. The players started well and then nose dived badly, showing very little stomach for the fight. We finally showed up against Arsenal, and though we started slowly, we showed the effort and passion that is expected.

Continue Tuesdays performance on and we have a real chance.

Play as we have for the past 2 months and we will likely get turned over. IF this occurs, rather than be miserable I would view it that many of them will be replaced sooner rather than later. They are auditioning for their futures with the window opening in a matter of weeks.

COYB, FTRS.

I just live for days like these.

Waking up on Derby day never gets old for me..

The excitement, the tension, the butterflies.

The fear mingled with hope.

The sheer vitality of it all.

We will smash these buggers tonight.....EFC 4 RS 1

COYBB

Last time we beat them was just after one of my best mates funeral, now that was one of the most emotional Derby days ever. CMON you blues

Derby day never fails to get the excitement going, the anticipation, the nerves, thinking the worst and then the best. Really looking forward to tonight under the Goodison lights.

COYB. Nothing to fear but fear itself.
