….didn’t play well & offered little threat, but we only conceded following mistakes from turn overs meaning the defence wasn’t set for the break. When you play against a side like United, they will punish you in those situations.

Disappointing team performance but not all doom and gloom.

This is it. We were naive twice when we should have looked to consolidate and not commit too many men ahead of the ball.

If my aunt had plums and all that, but the slightest bit of composure today and we win that. Draw at an absolute minimum. Not that shooting ourselves in the foot is a good or positive thing, but it’s something we can hopefully iron out ASAP and get back on track.

Very disappointing. Looked so disjointed for some reason today. Our attacking play was so slow and static. Could have snatched a point at the end.

Loads to work on, which we knew anyway - big pluses in getting DCL back and Garner’s cameo. Ref did us no favours, seen Pickford get booked in the 60th minute for time wasting before but seemingly encouraged today!

Worth remembering that this is a United team that has spent over £200m in the summer on top of a squad already better than ours.
