If a player brings his arm out and leans into the ball then its a pen. I would say it was slightly lower than the upper arm rule.

Ref only booked VDB when a city player demanded it otherwise he was just going to let the game continue.

Continue to show that aggression and we won't go down but the CBs have to be better

Sky are as bad as the referee. The most corrupt decision you'll see in a long time.

We all know had that been the other way round it would of been a penalty and there lies the problem we expect things like that.

Leeds were also denied a penalty in the same situation, Liverpool got theirs. Top 6 clubs are refereed to different standards, particularly Liverpool at Anfield and it wouldn't have even gone to VAR.

Week after week they roll out ex refs with some dodgy explanation as to why we're wrong and the refs are right...
Week after week they admit they got it wrong but what food does that do us? The result doesn't change

Yeah, because it’s definitely impossible to think that we absolutely should be doing better, AND we have been absolutely shafted on more than one occasion by officials.

Nobody said it was. But if people are going to blame a ref for us going down when we have had 38 games to save ourselves, well, that's simply playing the victim. We were shafted tonight. May as well just give us our championship fixtures if that’s how the officials are gonna treat us. That is one of the worst examples of corruption and bias in this league that I ever seen.

Up to 60 mins, DVB, Allan and Doucs put in one of the best midfield performances I’ve seen from Everton in a very long time. We were never going to be able to keep that intensity for 90 mins.

That was also one of Pickford’s best games for us since his first season. That double save was superb. Get him a proper centre half pairing!!

Should be coming off that point with a result tonight. Play like that going forward and we should be alright.
