^ got a point, loads of successful clubs fans
Come on here and have banter mate @manc blue, you have come on like Billy big balls. I know the new city fans pout a lot, but what exactly have you achieved recently to warrant this swagger.

2-1

God I'm good.

At half time I thought we were on for a spanking. Brilliant response. Great attitude from everyone. Goodison rocking in the second half. love it

Too right. In an ideal situation:

-Sell Rodwell, Yak, Yobo, Vaughan, Bily for £33m or so.
-Sign 5 new players. ATTACKING ONES. Add some pace to the team.
-Stop playing Long balls like we did in the first half against City and ATTACK. Today has shown it can work.

I don't think wholesale changes are needed. I'd sell the players who are out on loan plus Heitinga. Nugent and Obinna are free and would give us something different. Max Gradel is entering the last year of his contract and would give us some pace and directness. Let's see how we get on with those budget buys before we think about spending any cash. It really is fine margins with us.

I'm going to lay claim to be Everton's script writer

Turned to my son at half-time when we were just about hanging in and said "If we can get a measure of control in this game we will bring Tim Cahill on and see where it takes us"

Furthermore I confidently predicted MOTD will summarise as follows (and this was at 1-1) - this is Toure through - misses an open goal, scores a good one, misses another one.. and this is Everton making them pay for it....

But more importantly - Anichebe ran his socks off today -had an excellent game...

EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY - DO NOT MISS LEON OSMAN'S GOAL - IT IS THE GOAL OF THE SEASON...
btw Silva ain't half good - and Lescott wears 19 cos they paid £19M too much for him (also £19M more than we paid for Distin who repaid another chunk of his fee... with a goal!!)

Just got back so I haven't read all the previous posts yet.

I've got say I have mixed feelings. A high due to us beating them and a great 2nd half display. But it was the first time I've really been disappointed to be a Blue. I just feel the way Lescott was treated, not the booing I don't agree but I can live with that, but the obscene snide name calling that just isn't the Everton way or if it is I don't want any part of it. It wasn't humorous but just small minded idiots who shouldn't be allowed any where near our ground or any ground. We all know the history behind the transfer but this is wrong.

But as I've said what a great game and an even better result.

I had a great day out. First trip to GP since September. It's probably all been said before in here so I won't try. But GET IN THERE!!! Great to see Big Dunc as well.

Oh awesome. So, so good.

I was pleasantly surprised at Vic today along with everyone else, but Beckford wasn't bad either...But most of all, we played with so much gumption in the second half it was tremendous.

Is Distin really in his early 30s? I know he is, but goodness he looks so good out there. He has held up so well.

Jags had a great game. Heitinga didn't do so bad either really!

But Leon Osman - we luv you.

(Other notes: Rodwell really hasn't been playing well of late has he? Arteta still looks like a lame duck who shouldn't be earning the highest salary on the squad. I'm officially worried for him for next season. What was up with our weird set pieces all day long? Just take them for the love of god! Bily on the bench = Bily being sold in the summer.)

Ebepton, I luv you. So happy.
