My God an honest straight-talking manager, I'm in complete shock here. Liked the midfielder comment. We need more complete players. Our full back can do both, our wingers can track when fit and told to so why shouldn't our centre mids be more than crabs.
Phenomenal!

Witsel and Carvalho are definitely close to "complete" players...as is Koulibaly.

Good that after 2 decent performances he wants more. Would be happier if he was a bit less critical - don't know maybe he's quite a hard taskmaster and I think you need to strike the right balance. That is to say "there were plenty of good things and one or two that need working on. The right way to progress with staff is always to remember carrot and stick "you are doing really well on this task but this one needs working on"

They've had 3 years of fluffing and pampering they do not need anymore. Complacency is the death of this team. Everyone needs to think their place is on the line. Last night it was mostly crap if you think about what Koeman desires; he was spot on.

Enjoyed my trip to the MK Stadium, not the first time Ive been there and they have done a great job on a budget, bit soulless but nice venue. As for Everton, Geri and Kev impressed and their quality shone above anyone else, Ross also looked decent but lost possession a couple of times. We seem to be rolling the ball out to Mori who then runs forward a bit and then doesnt know what to do with it.
GK looked decent, but for me, If I was RK this mornign I would be calling McGeady and Oviedo in and saying there isnt a place for you guys, not good enough last night. We need some muscle central midfield, although Davies was in there he is a bit green and needs time. Overall a good run out, happy with that except the way we backed off for their goal.

Positives:

Davies and Mirallas very good. Goes to show what a full pre-season can do.

Robles has some competition in Steklenburg - steady and assured.

Stones given a good response from our fans.

Besic goal - reward for hard work.

Deulofeu playing with a Torres swag upfront. Running deep, bouncing off defenders, direct, confident and hungry. Keep this up and Barca will use that buy-back.

Negatives:

Players not getting the shot off and additional touches - should've been a 5-6

Lack of striker options from the bench even when Lukaku comes back we need another option.

Pennington isn't a centre back, too lightweight and got done for their goal.

Oviado won't be anywhere near the 1st team squad. That injury has really effected him.

McGeady is a dead man lightly jogging with a woeful stepover - just get rid. Makes Niasse's look a world beater!

Where is Kone and Barry? AWOL again

A new defensive set up from corners with Fumes Mori playing a zonal positions on the 6 yrd box with 2 players on the posts so he can be free to clear crosses and then the rest man-marking - worked a couple of times with Mori clearing and Stelkenburg catching but one chance Mori missed the flight having called for it and the defence just switched off which lead to 2 line clearances. Just highlights the complete lack of height in the team.

Anyone help?

We had some bloke between the sticks who was CATCHING the ball now and again.

Is this in the rules?

(Thought I'd better illustrate it in case you don't know what I'm talking about.)

Kone is off mate. Barry has a knock and probably isn't being risked.

we are crap. Our squad is crap. That's what I've noticed in the last two games. Incredible how far we have fallen in 2 years,
