a decent attacking team at full strength but their defence isn't up to much at the best of times, nevermind when their missing their leader in coloccini. we really should have killed that game off in the first half, the amount of chances we created was encouraging. i know i support swansea aswell, but i want us to put all this frustration into next week, show everyone out there that nobody will stop us achieveing our goals and we go out there and rip swansea a new one winning about 5-0.

honestly if this was the RS, you would not hear the end of it. they will still moan about it in 10 years, whilst saying nothing about luis garcia's effort which was nowhere near and helped them win the CL. death threats would have already been sent to the FA and linesman in drones

We put that game out of sight second half, we should have been 3 - 1 up.

Not our fault TWO legit goals were ruled out

Phil Neville was an absolute disgrace tonight and needs to retire immediately.

Tim Howard was a shambles for their first goal but made up for it with a fantastic save on Ben Arfa, could possibly have done better with their second, but that was firstly Jagielka then Distin's fault for terrible defending. Both poor on the night.

Osman was pretty anonymous, Fellaini and Mirallas were good imo, Pienaar and Baines excellent, Hibbert poor as usual imo. Shame about Jelavic as he looked lively, and Anichebe's goal and stolen goal were both brilliant.

What can you do when the referee decides you're not going to win the game, though? Disgusting by the officials but will they apologise or even explain their decisions? Awful. Feel like we got a hammering after that, and turns what should be an excellent start to the season into a slightly above average one.

Robbed. That said, their two goals were unforgivable from our POV - Moyes best get Heitinga back in against Swansea. If I were him I'd be handing in a transfer request if I wasn't put straight back into the team after tonight, woeful by the manager if he keeps our player of the season on the sidelines after that.

never raged so hard watching everton , punched a lamp post outside the pub coming home and brusied my hand , pathetic linesman deffo should expect league 2 officiating after everton complain

Newcastle knew they were lucky to be only 1-0 down at half time - But as much as most complain you can not account for that overwieght dumbo of a linesman who ruled out two clear goals - feel sorry for Vic he netted two the ball was so clearly over the line the position of the said linesman was a disgace if he had stood behind the corner flag the goal was easy to give - in fact I feel even the ref seen it was a goal, but shirked responsabilty.
Problem again is PN in midfield with osman there ages add up to 65 - thats why we struggled in midfield in the 2nd half TBh it should have been an easy win COYB!

Nev hell - anichi be crap - ok so Phil putts in a strong tackle but has negative impact on our play - Anichibe reminds me of the hard Sunday league pub player - ok with back to goal or defender but speed agility twists and turns, never gonna haqppen. Negative Nev meanwhile talks a great game of football - read the David Batty "football made carefull" xmas album, 'passing the ball is like passing wind, ends up followed by a load of ****e.' Im not saying these guys havent got heart its just im losing mine watching them play!

Anichebe scored 2 goals in 50 minutes mate.

Sorry mate, but can't agree. Plenty of players could be described as poor tonight but I don't think Hibbert deserves it. He's not Baines going forward (but only a handful of players are) but he defends well enough and put a few decent crosses in. There were far worse players in blue tonight than him. I defo saw him skin someone in the first half. It was awesome.

Agree with most of that but Hibbert poor, no he actually made some good tackles today and myself i thought he had a pretty good game

We're possibly being a bit harsh. If the two 'goals' were given we'd be saying what a great 4-2 victory it was. We can still do better than that though.
