Fantastic game, probably the best and most controversial of the premier league season so far. Definitely deserved to win, there's not many games where you celebrate 4/5 times and only see 2 count, very poor refereeing decisions however we really should have defended better at the end, and throughout really.

We're playing ace though, lads. Keep it up and sort out the defence, i'd like to see Heitinga back in the team over Neville.

Hopefully Jelly isn't out for too long either, although I actually like Cheebs 50% of the time

Still haven't seen the Newcastle goals properly or any highlights for that matter bar what I saw at the game. Don't want to really, wounds are still a bit fresh. I really, really dislike that club.

Ha tbh it wasn't there fault. I'm fuming more at the injustice of the game

All I can say is, we were crying out for a creative central midfielder to partner Osman. Just imagine Arteta in the team now, we would undoubtedly have won the game at a canter, and be pushing for 4th.

While people rightly have a go at Neville in midfield...lets not forget that Ossie in most games lately is completely gone by 60 minutes...his legs just go. He was responsible for the Newcastle goal because he lost the ball so easily and for the last 30 minutes he could hardly run. He should be on the bench at best.

Voice is hoarse after screaming last night. For those who were once on Kipper- Staveros has been attempting to teach Sylvain the art of defending on twitter again. What a dolt.

seriously...people are still slating Anichebe

I still am. He had a brilliantly taken goal. He also loafed around for 35 minutes. And I mean loafed. 1 game does not change the opinion I've had of him for two years now. He wants to avoid the slating, he's gotta put in more than 15 great minutes.

I don't mind if he's lazy for 90 minutes but scores a goal every game or two, that's what players like Berbatov and Yakubu do to great effect. The problem is he isn't going to do that.

Looking at the goals that we scored they were both very close to Harper. Could he not have saved them with his feet?
Difference with our goals is that both of them were smashed in, giving him very little chance.

Howard should have saved both of ours, imo.

I do. Because on average, that laziness will not generate a goal every game or two.

There is something about his attitude that just bugs the crap out of me. Even his goal celebration annoyed me. You just spent 35 minutes being lazy and now you're god's gift? Whatever. I'm happy for the TEAM that you scored, but you, meh.

Meanwhile, I absolutely beamed when Baines scored. Love. Him.

Well it works for the boss slotters of this world. He however is not one of them, and so he will have to put the work in. That was more my point.

Got it. Then I agree with you, and based on my emotional judgment of him, don't see him putting in the work. Hope he proves me wrong. There's something about him that just rubs me the wrong way.

Oh same here, he's one of us, and will always get my full support like every other player in Everton colours. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I won't be, he's beyond Adam.
