He comes deep because of the lack of movement in the midfield. Rooney used to do the same.

Yes, it is typical when you feel you are not getting involved in the game, and it is a very common mistake. You see the same thing, especially in children, they run towards where the ball is. But anyway, if he leaves his space, then someone else must occupy his area. Whoever occupies the space he seeks, must find a new area. Was very clarifying when I saw an overview of the whole field, and how compressed we play.

We don't move off the ball when we have it, we don't move to try to win the ball when they have it. It's awful football all round. We're not even doing the basics.

Newcastle were on us from the off.

Leeds just recently got battered by Tottenham 3-0, then lost to Crawley Town in the FA Cup 3-0, then got beat by Brighton at home and only just won their last game against Newcastle (A game that Newcastle had 22 shots and didn't deserve to lose).

Yeah Leeds will run us off the park, our seasons over.... The fans on here. Jesus Christ.
Fingers crossed you’re right about Leeds- I’ll happily eat some humble pie washed down with 3 pts

Last couple of days there's been more than a few on here wanting Digne & Coleman as full backs cos it offers us more going forward.
Well today you got your wish & answer.

I'le not start knocking Carlo but there's an old saying " if it aint broke dont fix it "

That back 4 with Godfrey & Holgate have been superb , we conceded 2 today and it could easily have been 4.

Think today wasnt the time to change it .

I can take defeats even against crap teams, but effort or lack of Drives me crazy.

Nonsense performance against a poor team at home again, system is just not working.

As someone said before it looked like we only had 9 men.
Too many putting in the bare minimum.
And Siggurdson? I dont see anything Carlo must see. He hides, he ducks out, he is slow, he gives the ball away , he marks fresh air, he points to the runner but moves to a player already picked up.

I disagree. I think they are entirely dependable and predictable. Leeds to win
I think recency bias might be dictating terms in that prediction. I see Everton in a more mercurial light...very good and very bad. The only thing I depend on Everton to be, is to be undependable...hence the irony.
