Would have been confident of winning on Thursday, no doubt they will be buying players right, left and centre. Looking at their accounts I reckon they could spend in excess of £200m with all the profits theyve been turning and then I`m sure there will be some obscene stadium naming rights etc....

Another double defeat against them incoming again this season, then as of the summer and if they stay up which I`m sure they will they will be past us as are West Ham, Villa, Leicester and the SKY 6

Stop being incredibly weird.

If they spend over 200m in a January window then I would be quite confident it will be the worst transfer window in the history of football.

They will improve the squad but no top players are going to Newcastle next month

I wouldn't say they need top players just enough decent mercenaries to add to the likes of Wilson/ASM to get them out the bottom 3.

I cant see past Burnley/Watford/Norwich for the drop tbh.

Yes I agree that they need players to stay up, not top players. They are in trouble and in a proper relegation battle though so I dont see how they are going to spend over 200m as was suggested.

If they spend over 200m then there will be an enormous amount of panic buying going on. I expect spending of more like a third of that. No top level player will be going there mid season with the fear of relegation. If they stay up then the summer could be very different but I think they are in for a shock if they are expecting to overhaul the squad next month.

They've got Howe managing them, and Staveley conducting the transfers mate. Maybe they bring in loads of good players, but they were meant to be getting a top manager and ended up with Howe. Lets wait and see how they get on. To me it's 2 from 3 to go down, so more than likely they do, which sets them back years more.

The more games that get postponed the better for me. Give us a chance to get players fit and bring in new bodies early January because lets be honest, the current numpties are mostly incapable under any Manager.

Keep em coming for a while please PL. ;)
