Considering our missing personnel a decent 3 points. Thankfully we didn't let them score first where we might have had a serious struggle on our hands, even against a side of that quality. Keeps us thereabouts 'till the return of the injured. The type of match where we might have dropped points the second half of last season. Don't Norwich look absolutely awful though.

A win is a win, not pretty but we usually draw or lose they games. Don't have much hope of getting anything from Old Trafford next week and the international break will do us good.

Positives from today, Pickford solid, workrate excellent all round. Mina and Keane are the best centre back pairing, Demarai Gray and Townsend have been great signings

Another good start, pressure was on in these six games, keep the clowns from Benitez out shouts for another month.


Negatives. Digne and Godfrey seem miles of it.

Rondon still in preseason mode, is better than what we have seen.

Pace in the team is still a worry, Iwobi, Rondon, Allan, Digne and even Godfrey look like they have concrete in the shoes.

Haven't seen any of the game but my son said Norwich were awful and we were better. 3 points gladly accepted.

Every season they come up, Norwich either waste money on tat in areas they don’t need or badly under prepare and it ends the exact same way, with them going straight back down

With parachute payments it’s gonna be the same 3/4 teams every year. Fulham, West Brom, Norwich, and one of the established teams if they go down or Bournemouth. Grim.

I like his tactical breakdowns. Previous everton managers are so vague. You can tell he likes reflecting on the game through the media. Our other managers looked like they recented having to talk to the media. Felt they had better things to do with thier time and constantly defensive, vague. Dull aswell.

Best part of the game for me was seeing three Everton Academy graduates coming on in the second half. Shades of 2010 and Anichebe, Rodwell etc. coming on for their token sub appearance ?
