Back from the match. Much better than last season. Like everyone knows a couple of decent attackers and we’ll be fine I think.. while we are transitioning.
Iwobi very good again , Gordon trying too hard and nothing was really working for him. Onana just needs time I think, but I was disappointed in McNeil, we actually paid a fee for him and after the Kiev game I expected more, as bad as last week in my opinion

We’ve got 1 point from 3 games, mate. You enjoy being a super bloo who doesn’t care about that cos you love us too much.
Because we are run by donkeys who 3 games into the season still havent got a striker at the club.We should have points from all 3 games. Im no super blue lad. All im saying is its the board that put us in this mess and we need to be together and back the team like last season. If the crowd hadnt reacted like we did last season we wouldve gone down. I just think we need more of the same.

At times it was very encouraging. Thought we played well at times and were very fluid with plenty of movement. I thought the game changed when Rondon went off, as they sensed there was no one up top that could hold the ball up and bring others into play. Yet again Pickford. Their goalie pushed a shot from Gordon away from the danger area. Pickford saved a shot and pushed it into the danger are - they score. Patterson was asleep to the danger which means he'll have to learn that Pickford will not push shots away for a corner or to safety. All in all, we continue to show resilience when we concede as we have done the first two games. McNeill seems to be the latest scapegoat when things aren't going well, as was Iwobi, until Lampard came and got performances out of him.

Just got in from the match, my takeaways…
Positives; think the mentality and character of Tarkowski and Coady will be really important this year. They were always talking to other players and getting in the referees ear. Should help particularly in away games compared to last season where we were just spineless and rolled over every time.
Iwobi- continues to impress. So much better than when he first arrived. Probably first name on the teamsheet now.
Problems- just need a striker. Number of times the ball could have been crossed in but there was no one there, or Rondon didn’t look after the ball well enough. We need someone in ready to start next weekend, not a signing on Thursday who we’ll then be told isn’t match fit/ needs to adapt to the premier league. We can’t afford to just fritter away points because we haven’t got a decent number 9.
Agree - until the frittering part..... It is as it is.

Isn't it better to build your house with solid foundations and walls before adding a roof?

That's what I'm seeing and what you've described. With Dom we would've had it already. At the moment, we don't. It'll come.

Judge us (at the end of the window) or bettter yet, after 10 games.

We're on it.

The crowd deserves a lot of credit for helping the team over the line today. We were willing the lads on even at 1-0 and we got our just desserts. We should be very proud. We really were the 12th man.

No team has been as unlucky as us in regard to injuries, which makes me wonder whether our training methods are in some way flawed. Why do we have so many injuries?

McNeill misplaces a pass ... and my mind turns to the Corrupt PL.. where every team below the Big Six (except the Aspirants - West Ham and Newcastle) are as bad as each other.

Let's be honest - after Pickford, DCL, Gordon we're as bad as the rest and if the likes of Newcastle and Chelsea can hoover up DCL and Gordon (a "prospect" at the insane price of £50M) then we're really shorn of any talent in the side. That's what happened with Richarlison - he went to a Top 4 Wannabe (Spurs) who are chasing the likes of Liverpool and City for 2 vacancies in the Money Pot League (aka CL).

And my mind reflects that it's really just about who can score first between the Have Nots (9-20 in this season's chase for Glory/avoiding Relegation) and yes, Forest score from an error.. and we're heading for Nothing because they scored first.. until Pickford launches a long range missile and the Average Forest Defender makes a mistake Koulibaly or Van Dead Leg wouldn't make and we salvage a point in the Not Anywhere Near the Top 8 League..

10 strangers (because of injuries and new arrivals, yes we've freshened it up with Tarko, McNeill, Coady, Onana (when he stops trying to be Prime Pogba) and that's good news) in front of Pickford salvage a point against 16 new signings Forest.

And next week we don't play a Top 6+2 team and we're hoping for points against the likes of Leeds.

Steve Cooper claiming that they were the better side today is bollocks by the way. They conceded 19 attempts.. on another day with better finishers they get well beaten.
I don't think we were much better, draw was fair, yes with decent striker we probably win but that's irrelevant to the actual result today and we can't see what happened in alternative universes yet

We had enough chances in the first half to win the match, but I'm not that disappointed with a point. The game just highlighted how much we need to bring in a good forward.

Gave Alex Iwobi MotM, mostly based on his first-half performance.
