Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

…..I felt they were comfortable and we were 2nd best in every aspect of the game.

Perm Lindstrom and Harrison results in little difference and no McNeil nullifies any threat we have from set pieces. Mediocrity from a mediocre group of footballers.

Despite my criticism, it was good to see Patterson finally play like he had something to prove, his cameo was encouraging. Beyond that I thought the two CBs were ok, Branthwaite tried to force the game at times but without an outstanding candidate I thought Pickford was MoM, he made a few decent saves to at least keep the score down.
Could have told you that when Dyches Geriatrics crossed the white line ....

I agree. Wonder what Lindstrum would be like in his usual position, wonder what Illiman would be like is his usual position?
Linstrom is better than Harrison but in that position he isn't the answer. Need pacey wingers and attacking full backs
Part of the problem is the manager not backing and coaching these players. Look at Jake O'Brien as an example. I feel sorry for him to give up what he was enjoying to join us and waste away under this fraud.

they’ve been here a week or two

therye sacking him he won’t be everton manager end of season
You have more faith in them than I do, he should have been launched the second they signed that contract, did his performance previous to them not count then? Did that not happen, just matters what happens now?

See, they don`t mean what they say, its all BS... they are absolutely accepting this crap OR HE WOULD BE GONE!

so they’re spending millions to “maybe”
hope we stay up with dyche?

behave
I think maybe they will feel if they keep dyche and sign a few players that it will give them the best chance. We were clearly lacking creativity today. Need a more experienced version of irigboenam who can actually do something on the ball

Wish I had the sportsmanship in me to say fair play to Forrest for their success this season but I unfortunately don’t.

The last few remaining lunatics at the asylum are still in their positions and they need removing swiftly. Will end up in a car crash situation unless l this fella and his team are removed.

Faint praise for our best outfield player when he came on...been our best RB for some time now imo.

Young has to go LB.

Dyche i posted a couple of games back needs 21pts after Villa to keep his job.

Pickford ace, starting defenders dreadful

Cant do it now...got to go.

Today we didnt know if we were attacking or defending, two goals down and we still didnt seem to know.

Nothing to do with the manager or tactics then? I know you hate our DOF but from what I could see we didn't even try and attack until we were 2-0 down

….of course the Manager is accountable but I’m not in the camp that blames Dyche for absolutely everything. He can only play the cards he’s been dealt and he has a very mediocre hand to play with. Before the game the argument was whether Lindstrom should start, I suggested both were mediocre and it didn’t make much difference.

It suits Forest to sit back and play on the counter, the difficulty we had was them scoring early which played into their comfort zone. I don’t think it was a case of attacking more, I just think we raised the tempo a bit. Patterson certainly helped in that regard but I think we’d have still been playing now and not scored regardless of manager.
